Landscape I.

Seagull was kind enough to share a childhood memory with me of fishing boats with old spark plug engines, the scent of the sea, the sound of gulls looking for a meal, all of which he had put into a lovely musical portrait.  It is a different world compared to the childhood I had growing up in suburban Denver, Colorado.  Now with us both in our later years we get to meet on this wonderful platform called Soundcloud, and I asked if I could tag along with him as he shared this lovely memory. in 2009 I moved into The Rat Palace, a studio in Hobart. Its been the epicentre of so many projects and I have shared the space with some amazing artists of all disciplines. I have hard drives full of jams from this time and will share a few over the next little while as a way of saying farewell to the space. This one is from August this year when myself ( Bass) and old band mates from an outfit called Hexfarm Dane Renshaw (Drums) and Phil Bywater ( Tenor Sax) found ourselves all in the same country for the first time in many years. So we dusted off some musical cobwebs one evening. The photo is of the last Ute load leaving the studio, Intonarumori strapped on the back - not quite sure where the next studio is yet !

Born in México City in 1955, started playing at an early age. In Mexico, I played with bands like  "Atrás del Cosmos", "Queso Sagrado", " Broken Heart", "Decibel", "Bardo Thodol", "Kathmandu Ensemble", Silent Light. In New York City I played with Bands like, "King"s East", "In The Service Of", "Fist of Facts", "Desire", "Dense Undergrowth"," "Matahari", "Like Wow", "Devil's Breakfast", "Muse Mob", "Atlantis 3000", "Monster", "Zenith", "Andromeda Crash" "Night Shade", I also collaborated with Hector Zazou, Harold Budd, Elliott Levin, Dennis Charles, Tetsu Inoue, Bettina Koster. Barbara Gogan, Salvatore Principato, Ken Man, Scott Hartley, Thomas Truax and many others. For many years I also wrote Jingles for a lot of products like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Mc Donalds, Toyota, Kodak, Payless Shoes, Rothman's, Salsa Tabasco, JC Penny, Liberty Science Center, American Heart Association, MCI, Reebok, AT&T, Fanta, Play Movil, etc, I also made music for Viacom writing music for cartoon networks, Bravo TV, Chanel 1, and MTV. Also wrote music for Bill Moyers (PBS)and also for Fax TV in Germany.
