Mood Series gets a visit from a familiar name with Zub. 'Come Adrift' is #101 for the Mood Series in totality. The title track plants itself firmly between house and techno while the underlying groove holding things in place is purely dub components. Naturally, with the title one will think of an aquatic atmosphere but it has much more than that. The percussion is where things get interesting. Always supporting the deepness, the intricate changes really add to the complexities of the rhythm. The wicked bassline holds everything in place. The kind of track you want to drift forever to. 'Deep Blue' is a great companion to the title track. It also is a nice breezy, melodic dub groover. Both of these gems have and fantastic charm to them for day and night DJ sessions. And both are sure to get approval from the average club goer to the most discerning dub fanatic. We are very pleased to see Zub back on the Mood Series.

Seabra Monkey:
My love for music is divers. From Classical all the way to rock ‘n roll. I am originally a drummer and switched to producing when the DAWs came largely available. When House music emerged it was love at first sight and ever since has been a big influence in my musical aspirations. My love for Dub dates back to the time I was heavily into Reggae and Dub Reggae. The legendary rhythm section Robbie Shakespeare and Sly Dunbar taught me the way in what a solid rhythm section does for any kind of music in general. Its creates freedom for all other instruments involved. This freedom became more clear when I listened to Frank Zappa. He is my inspiration, a musical genius with a free spirit in improvising. He is the reason why creating edits of the tracks I use in my mixes, became part of my normal mixing routine. For me it’s all about creating a storyline from beginning till the end. Adding my own sauce is part of that process. Although my DJing skills comes from the days I was spinning the decks with vinyl, I consider myself today a producer. I love vinyl for it superb sound, but have to admit that the digital era gave me the tools and freedom to do what I love the most and that is producing Dub Techno. I feel the DUBBISM mixtape came out well and I do hope you all will like it too. If you do, pls hit me up on my socials.
