Daisy Records Volume One 

We are proud to present our very first V/A featuring nine incredible local and internationally based producers. A compilation that holds no genre but lots of weight, the aim and purpose of our first release was to give complete control to each artist who contributed to this compilation. Resulting in a balanced, yet genre bending flow from track to track creating what appears to be a perfectly premeditated body of work from start to finish - mixing through ambient and downtempo textures, dubby inspired breaks,  house & darker tones seamlessly.

50% of proceeds from this release will be going to support ‘Pay The Rent’  a program that is organised by First Nations and non-First Nations people working together, as the Pay The Rent Grassroots Collective. DJ duo Primitive Needs take their name from a tongue in cheek nod to the low-tech/high-art club-centric productions of yesteryear, which the duo pay homage to in their releases and behind the decks. 

Having showcased their wealth of influences with releases on Craigie Knowes, R.A.N.D Muzik and Naarm’s own DMO, the pair present themselves as both genre-spanners and DJ tools; wrenching every last drop of 90s nostalgia from their moderately priced hardware.
