I wrote this song a few days before I left New Zealand, in awe of the "glow shrimp" and penguins and dolphins and sea life I encountered there, and also considering the idea that we continue to explore outwards while ignoring the mysteries within our own world.

As if the wait between songs hasn't grown bad enough, I'm not going to be able to record any music from this August to December, which makes me very sad.

A Lot

This is a song I wrote recently, inspired by opposites and reflection on the fact that times are rarely as simple as good or bad; that grief and joy coexist and sometimes the highest highs happen alongside the lowest lows. It is also in part inspired by my art teacher from high school who would sometimes start a game of naming as many pairs of opposites as possible: hell and heaven, peanut butter and jelly, fire and water, short and tall.
