Just what is needed after a long, hard Monday - heavenly, thank you!

I've always loved this piece.  What an interesting arrangement - played with great feeling.  Reminds me of Purcell's Fantasias for Viols, which he wrote when he was 21 but they are very modern sounding with lots of juicy dissonances in the suspensions.  I had/have the Harnoncourt group's recording of these made in 1965, and it sounds like blues actually.  Where is your Faure Elegie ???

Delibes - Flower Duet

In this little psychological drama, a brief overture is played; the curtain then goes up. A dialogue ensues, rife with questions, doubts, and 'half'' answers, amongst a cast of characters who come on and off the stage. The sun comes out at the end to resolve the conflicts(as in the only way out is OUT) This work reminds me of  Mozart's opera Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute.) Mozart is having a lot of fun as usual, playing with his audience!
