Chillits is an annual outdoor ambient music festival that takes place in the fall in the redwoods of Willits, California. I've never attended in person, but the DJs post their lovely musical sets online as MP3s and Torrents. This music keeps me calm all year, or tries anyway. I suggest starting with the sounds of DF Tram, but I'm biased. He's my favorite ambient DJ, spinning transgenre mixes inspired by and drawing from electronica, jazz, avant-garde classical, and the history of computer music.

DF Tram is a visionary music producer, DJ, and visual artist renowned for his cinematic and psychedelic fusion of ambient, electronic, and chillout music.
