Might just be the most involved dancefloor journey to have emerged from the @apukuna sound! What a magical evening. There was barely a moment where 4 decks weren't all flowing at once and it was a true highlight to introduce Richie Hawtin's Plastikman to the medicine icaros of Shipibo maestros and Ape Chimba!!! Plastikman's Kriket (1994) was a formative sound for me and this live remix helps tell some of that story of my journey since then. Holding the Dance Wave together was my first live collaboration with Blutopia (@blutopian) who brought his synths, flute and guitar to help open and close the journey and fill the interludes. 💎  This mix has been in the kosmic womb, gestating for QUITE some time:  a collection of my favorite songs, in devotion to Yemanja' & our Sacred Waters of Life...it is a living musical prayer.

This mix is devoted to the reverence & protection of our Sacred Oceans—the Womb of Life—especially to a sacred Coast-line that is currently under threat:  on the Cacao Coast of Bahia, in Brazil, one of my beloved homes.

It is the greatest prayer that this coastline is honored & protected for the pristine beauty it holds & the cultural and historical legacy it vibrates & represents, and that the building of Porto Sul & FIOL (and extraction-based plans for Bahia) are seriously re-considered.  I pray to be an instrument to support the voices of the local activists, indigeous & cultural leaders from this region, and serve & listen with my heart and soul.
