Act of Congress has been touring as a band for over 15 years but it feels like they're just getting started. Dave Higgs of NPR's Bluegrass Breakdown called them, “one of the freshest sounding, exuberant bands in all of the known acoustic universe." This genre-bending acoustic quartet's unique blend of pop, folk, gospel, and bluegrass shines on their latest release, The Hymns That Made Us.

The state of Alabama has proven to be rich soil for the creative growth of the genre-bending band Act of Congress. They have consistently been voted a "Must See Live Act of Alabama" and were the featured artist in the state's “Keep Alabama Beautiful” campaign. Their global audience has also continued to grow after completing five tours as U.S. State Department Cultural Ambassadors in Thailand, Oman, Palau, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Philippines, East Timor, Bali, Liberia, and Jordan.

“Welcome To The Heart Of God", co-written with Michael Farren [Reba McEntire, Walker Hayes, Lauren Daigle] & produced by Thomas Dulin [Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors], is the first in a cascade of new original singles coming from this genre-bending acoustic quartet in 2024. Fresh off the heels of their album "The Hymns That Made Us", this provocative new single invites listeners to “a place where EVERYONE’s welcome, we all belong.”
