Why is that guy Maverick walking through townships, in the heat, day after day with a monkey on his back?
A bit of story telling. Velvet Underground meets Modern Lovers meets Zambia. The middle part is inspired by southern Zambia gospel choirs. The outro resembles a lousy Kalindula band, you can find in bars and pubs in hot & sweaty Livingstone.
With respect to the Zambian people - a fantastic country - I hope a little bit of the Bemba part is pronounced well enough, I did practice...

Bowed violins add drama over the steady rhythm, their melodies intertwining with heavy piano chords.
