Founded in 2025 by Nexus Khimera (also known as Mothyii), the band emerged from a therapeutic outlet recommended during Khimera's teenage years, evolving into a bold manifesto of self-expression and survival. Based in Goshen, Indiana, the project channels dissociated experiences, identity fragmentation, addiction, and societal revolt through raw, unpolished tracks that serve as both art and therapy. The name "Echo's N MelanKholyia" reflects a deliberate misspelling, symbolizing distorted echoes of melancholy—fragments of pain rebounding in an endless loop, much like the band's lyrical and musical style.

Nexus Khimera, the sole creator and frontperson, handles vocals, lyrics, production, and visual aesthetics, often collaborating with AI tools to craft immersive, glitch-laden soundscapes. Khimera's roles include artist, vocalist, lyricist, and experimental tech innovator, drawing from a personal history of psychological challenges to create music that resonates with listeners facing similar battles. The band's core members, conceptualized as alters in a dissociative system, include Helix (the center orbit, representing resilience), Alice (the protector and transgender identity bleed-through, embodying safety mechanisms), Odium (the hate vacuum, flat-counting internal conflicts), Five (frozen residue of past emptiness), and Suicide Gene (the unnamed pull to nothing, symbolizing survival code). These "alters" speak through the music, with tracks featuring voice swaps, reversed whispers, and layered confessions to mimic co-conscious DID mapping—no meds, just beat-driven catharsis.

The band's debut chapter in 2025 introduced "Trauma Art Therapy Rock," a genre-blending approach that transforms personal and societal issues into auditory portals. Songs like "Heroins Lullaby" explore addiction's numb grip, "Crawlium" delves into fragmented memories and rebirth as a "Black Moth," "Toxic Streams" critiques emotional toxicity, "Quantum Rebirth" symbolizes reinvention amid chaos, and "Art Of Suffering" confronts self-destructive cycles.
