Billie and Finneas have a good thing going, they're writing good music and have an original style.  Just about all of Billie's vocals are a whisper though.  As if the screaming girls at a show aren't enough, Billie is whispering and you can't friggin' hear her.  That's right folks, I went to a Billie Eilish show!  I saw her last show of the 2020 tour just before the pandemic shut down the world.  I respect all music and I have two daughters.  So back to my point, I wanted to do one of her songs where the vocals weren't whispered and there was  no doubt they could be heard.  I took one of her quietest songs and "sharpened" it.  I hope you enjoy it.

Independent artist making songs that rock.

I don’t know about you but I miss hearing songs that just rock.  A couple of guitars, bass, drums, vocals, and harmonies make such a powerful combination.  It’s this power and energy that I’m after in the songs I record.
I perform all parts on these recordings unless otherwise specified. I’m primarily a guitar player and never considered myself a singer but I started doing it to complete my songs and I may be finding a voice for myself.
I’m open to collaboration so reach out if you’d like to work on some tracks.  I don’t have any rap on my tracks, don’t listen to much rap, but I have a couple of incomplete songs I’m interested in brining some rap into.  So let me know if any of you rappers want to collaborate with a rocker.
Recording, mixing, mastering is just as much of a hobby as playing the music is.  If you’d like another ear on your mix or some mastering done, drop me a message.  I’m not looking for money for it, just the opportunity to practice my skills on other artists work, see what I can do, and help a fellow musician.

Dear Mr Jello Biafra,

     I've been working jobs my whole life to survive.  Now at the age of forty-one I have caught the music bug. I’ve always had a passion for all kinds of music.  In my early twenties I was introduced to The Dead Kennedys with you as the lead singer. It was my niece Renee (5 years younger than I) who first introduced me to your band as well as that of Hot L7, Bikini Kill, Black Flag, Alice Cooper, Frank Zappa, and Television.  My sister broadened my mind through her record collection as well as my mother who was into The Doors, Rick James, and Led Zepplin.  To say the least, you blow my mind with the message in your songwriting and the sound of your band.  The Dead Kennedy’s was nothing like anything I had ever heard before. I loved the band and still do.  I was also listening to Bowie, Devo and Joy Division. This helped widen my scope and gave me the interest to explore new sounds and music.   As a preteen I got into hip-hop which included The Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, gangster rap and even Hammer. At the time I didn't know better with g-rap & Hammer, but like I said, I always had an open mind for music going into the decade of the 90s.  I fell in love with techno / electronic / House music being from Chicago and that golden area of Hip Hip. And thanks to Public Enemy, I always had a soft spot for conscious rap regardless of the era of corporate rap and the bad state that it's in now. I know that was one of the main reasons I fell in love with The Dead Kennedys.  You being one of my heroes, I have a thing for music that challenges me and makes me think the way I do.  I also like other music that doesn't. But any kind of music that opens up my eyes to what hides in plain site I have a special place in my soul for.
     That being said Mr Jello Biafra, I am a artist/ conscious rapper / producer/ arranger of music and lover for all kinds really. I got into Outlaw country, rockabilly/Psychobilly and obscured Punk, no wave and some new wave in the early 2000's. Then I got into prog rock like Kate Bush, 60s garage, Hard Core, Jamaican oldies, rock steady, Dancehall, reggae.  So as you can see, my influences vary and runs deep in many cultures of sound.
     Now I produce music with passion in an effort to get a message of hope to the hopeless, thought to the thoughtless, and peace to the non-peaceful. I’m hoping to bring people together with harmony like my hero’s that came before me such as you, Woody Guthrie, Johnny Cash, John Lennon, Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Jello Biafra, Joe Strummer, Henry Rollins, Quentin Tarantino, Rza, Tupac and Adam Yauch just to name a few.  If there's any way you could help me out with my music such as allowing me to be on your label or any kind of advice that would be much appreciated.  Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.
