Edit-Point is Scotland’s only electroacoustic ensemble. It was founded in 2010 and is run by composers Timothy Cooper, Matthew Whiteside and Nicholas Virgo. The group’s objectives are to present music that combines instruments and electronics and to provide a platform for artists to present technologically difficult to realise compositions.

SQ (aka Sound Quartet) imaginary soundscapes, noisy electronic experimentalism, composed impro art of electrified sounds and images. It's an ever changing gathering of electronic/acoustic musicians and visual artists in a joint search for new artistic crossroads and territories. The first initiative was from musicians Thomas Bjelkeborn (SE) and Philippe Moenne-Loccoz (FR) out of experimental research collaborations since 1992 at The Electronic Music Studio in Sweden and Musique Inventives d'Annecy in France. The Sound Quartet perform in concerts with acoustic instruments, laptop, wii-controller, motioncontrol, neuroheadset, 3D navigator, gadgets, video and vj-ing. The pieces are performed in solo, duo, trio or quartet combinations and is created by Thomas Bjelkeborn (SE) and Philippe Moenne-Loccoz (FR) in collaboration with visual artists and musicians. A main part of the work for the ensemble is projects with various musicians that is associated to the quartet: Paul Pignon (UK), Frøya Dahlø (NO), Josep Lluise Galiana (ES), Gregorio Jimenez (ES), Johan Sundberg(SE) and Olle Åberg (SE). Also very important is the cooperation with Patrik Sandenor from the visual team Deadpixel. The following musicians have appared as guests at various concerts: Edith Alonso (ES), Julian Bonequi (MX), Nina de Heney (SE), Anthony Maubert (FR), Mark Pilkington (UK), Koray Tahiroglu (T) and Per Ålund (SE). The following have appeared as guest visual artists: Viktor Zeidner (SE) and Michael Larsson (SE) for Deadpixel.

Maxim Kolomiiets
Composer, oboist, music curator.
Maxim was born in 1981 in Kyiv.
He graduated from the National Music Academy of Ukraine as an oboist (2005) and as a composer (2009) and from the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln as a composer (class of Johannes Schöllhorn, 2016). He took part in International Young Composers Academy in Tchaikovsky city (2013), and reading sessions by Ensemble MusikFabrik.
He is the winner of the national competitions Gradus ad Parnassum (Kyiv, 2000), Step to the Left (Saint Petersburg, 2012) and III Prize on Vareler Komponistenpreis (Oldenburg, 2015).
He took part as the performer in many Ukrainian and foreign festivals and master courses: historically informed performance with Freiburg Baroque Orchestra (2007) and contemporary music with Ensemble Recherché (2007, 2008), Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik Darmstadt (2010), impuls academy (Graz, 2011), Per suonare l'oboe (Freiburg, 2011).
As a solo-oboist played with orchestras Kyiv soloists, Musica Camerata, Russische Kammerphilharmonie St. Petersburg. Together with the Ukho Ensemble he realized the Ukrainian premiere of the concert for oboe No.2 by Luca Francesconi, as also ensemble pieces by P.Boulez, S.Gervasoni, B.Ferneyhough, L.Berio, G. Kurtag and many others.
Maxim took part in master classes in Montepulciano (Italy, 2015) under direction of Johannes Schöllhorn, Florence Millet and Werner Dickel as an oboist, a composer and a conductor.
He was a participant of the Kyiv conductor master classes under the guidance of Luigi Gaggiero (2016).
His music has been performed at the international festivals : MATA-Festival (New York), Summer New Music Courses in Darmstadt (Darmstadt), New Talents (Cologne),  Donaueschinger Musiktage, Warsaw Autumn (Warsaw), World Music Days  (Leuven), Other space (Moscow), Gogolfest (Kyiv), Contrasts (Lviv), Randfestspiele (Zepernick) etc.
Among the performers of his music are Ensemble MusikFabrik (Cologne), Ascolta (Stuttgart), Lions Gate Trio (U.S. und Europe), Neo Quartet (Gdansk), Ukho Ensemble (Kyiv) , the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine (Kyiv), Kyiv Chamber Orchestra (Kyiv), Syrinx Flute Quartet (Moscow), Ensemble Nostri Temporis (Kyiv), GAM-Ensemble (Moscow), Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble (Moscow), Vladislav Pesin (Moscow), Ian Pace (London), Helen Beldsoe (Cologne), Hayk Melikyan (Yerevan).
Since 2015 he is the solo-oboist of the Ukho Ensemble for contemporary music (Kyiv).
Co-founder of Ensemble Nostri Temporis and founder of the ensemble of ancient music Luna Ensemble. Gogolfest music curator (since 2017).

Hey everyone. I'm a musician and composer from Ireland. 

After finishing my degree in Original Composition, I moved to Japan and took a small musical hiatus. This new Soundcloud is where I'll be putting up old and new pieces in preparation for going back to university to study Composition at Masters level. 

As I'm currently going through maybe my first organised phase in my life, I'm organising about 8 years worth of music into albums, recording them, and posting them here. My aim is to record and post all of my music here as a way for me keep track of my musical output, as much as anything else. While most tracks will not be studio quality (I'm recording in my apartment with a strict policy of no music...), I hope you will be able to get a feel for what I do.

Most of my music is for guitar or piano. The sets or albums are divided this way. I have a number of orchestral and chamber works which I will post as soon as possible. 

I've been composing for almost 10 years now and take composition seriously, as I want to be a composer in the future, along with a lecturer of tonal harmony.
