Story
The Shoemaker and the Monkey
In a village on the banks of the White Nile lived a humble shoemaker. His calloused hands repaired worn sandals, and his workshop smelled of leather and sap. He had no riches, but he did have patience and ingenuity that helped him survive.

One day, while he was working in the shade of a mango tree, a mischievous monkey appeared. It leaped from branch to branch, stole fruit, and made faces at the children. The shoemaker, tired of the animal disrupting his space, devised a plan.

"If you want to play with me," he told the monkey, "you'll have to learn to live together."

The monkey, curious, approached. The shoemaker showed him a pair of old sandals and proposed a challenge:

"If you can walk in these without stumbling, I'll give you sweet mangoes."

The monkey accepted, but soon discovered that the sandals weren't made for his agile feet. He stumbled, fell, and the children laughed. The shoemaker, however, didn't mock him: he helped him adjust the straps, trying step by step, until the monkey managed to walk gracefully.

From then on, the animal stopped causing havoc in the workshop. He became the guardian of the handles and a playmate for the children. The shoemaker gained an unexpected ally, and the monkey learned that living together requires patience and respect.
