Mara von Ferne and David Sick have been playing and writing songs together since 2005, resulting in three highly acclaimed studio albums, with a fourth in the works. In addition to concerts in Germany and abroad, the two have won numerous prizes, e.g. at the international duo competition "Voice & Guitar".
Although it quickly becomes clear that both are virtuosos of their instrument, the focal point is always the song. Mara's voice and David's guitar expose, live out, break out, embrace. Together they create a fine but powerful, sometimes wild sound world, in which depths you can lose yourself. There you can find song lyrics that always have more than one underlying, whether they tell of the beauty of an old woman, a cherry tree from childhood or a bus ride through Berlin's Sonnenallee.
