Two hot remixes of O.N.O. electro-pop smash ‘Gran Music’? Yes please.

Running Back artist Enzo Elia does away with the light touches of the original in favour of something moodier and more atmospheric. Rugged electro dissonance abounds in the bass synth, which chugs away menacingly beneath light snares and driving hi-hat and ride patterns. The breathy vocals take on a different character in this darker context, creating a trippy feel with their hazy tones. Sustained pads build the mood towards the break as the bass synth unfurls its gnarly teeth. Rasping textures and incessant percussive hits fire up the breakdown, leading to crescendo of bleeping arpeggios that hark back to progressive house in its heyday. Throw in some tense stabs and intense, distorted pulses and you’ve got yourself an all-encompassing riot of sound.

Man-of-the-moment Captain Mustache lays his Parisian touch down on the second mix, opting for throbbing analog bass thrusts and ticking old skool percussion, before unleashing a fizzing lead arpeggio and breakbeat pattern that gives the track an entirely new dimension. Old skool electro with modern pop sensibility, it’s a killer rework that’s sensitive to the charms of the original while adding an element of beefiness to the proceedings.

Support for French duo O.N.O. has come from the likes of Chloe, Jennifer Cardini, Terr and Lauren Laverne from BBC 6 Music as well as fashion publication Numero Mag. They’ve been enjoying their own residency in Paris, and have plenty more tasty music waiting in the wings.

Roam alumni Freudenthal teams up with Jake the Rapper to deliver a nostalgic homage to 1982. In sound, mood, and feeling the original takes it to the 80s with fun and kitsch underpinned by stylish drums, synthesizers, and electronics. The single is backed by two expert remixes by Darlyn Vlys and Lauer. Darlyn Vlys offers a stripped back punchy version while keeping true to the mood of the original. Lauer strips it back even further with vocoders and an 808 and while it deviates from the original it too could just as easily come out of the 80s. Rounding it out is an instrumental version of the original because sometimes you just want the instrumental.

Having worked for years in a duo, first as 3 Channels and now as the lauded, world-touring house outfit Catz ’n Dogz, Polish producer Voitek Taranczuk’s  roject, Ketiov, is personal.

It is about focusing on his own process and creative instincts — after all, Ketiov is Voitek in reverse. Here, he indulges his boundary-breaking impulses, crossing genres and experimenting with sound. Ketiov grew up  in Poland, where as a young dj  hosted parties and build his musical taste.  Few years ago moved from Berlin to Madrid where he continues his journey.  He is a resident at Cafe Berlin in Madrid and with his husband David Rigote, started the very successful LGBTQI+ party  CARBS as well as resident dj of fetish party MyPleasure.

Releasing track s himself but also labels like Running Back and OnLoop. Ketiov’s innovative rhythmic play and effortless mixing of deep house, disco, techno and 90s house have landed him  Dj mixes with the infamous Honey Soundsystem, Buttons, Is Burning and dance sets at clubs all around Europe including Panorama Bar and the world at large. Ketiov believes in order to be a great collaborator, one needs to pursue their own projects alongside. Only time will tell how Voitek’s addictive sound will evolve on his own and in his powerful collaborations.

The new edits EP already got support from Optimo, Axel Boman, Massimilano Pagliara, Richard Sen, Vladimir Ivkovic and more!  

Limited to just 100 copies on vinyl, each crafted from recycled records and sustainable paper sourced from FSC-certified forests.
