As a premier Canadian export, his excellence on turntables and in the studio has captivated audiences in over 27 countries, gracing iconic festivals such as Shambhala, Envision, Burning Man and Glastonbury.

With a repertoire exceeding 70 label releases and numerous DJ mixes, Stickybuds has woven a sonic tapestry that resonates worldwide. His music has left an indelible mark, featured in blockbuster franchises like Spider-Man and Star Wars, while concurrently blasting out the sound systems of underground scenes and massive festivals.

A fixture at Canada's Shambhala Music Festival for 20 years, Stickybuds has perfected a unique DJ style, blending genres with live turntablism and impeccable selections. His annual Shambhala mixes showcase a fusion of funk, reggae, drum n’ bass, house and broken beats, adorned with exclusive acapellas, his own productions, and custom VIPs.

In 2025, Tyler is embracing his role as a dedicated father and husband, choosing family life over the grind of month-long tours and relentless release schedules. Bedtime stories and raising his young children now take priority, though he still enjoys performing at select festivals and special shows.

Welcome friends and strangers to my Audio Pharmacopeia for Modern Maladies. I am Mortimer’s Method, your urban witch doctor of music, warmly at your service. Here I offer prescriptions of lo-fi electronica, ambient dub, and occasionally grungy folktronica, designed to soothe, awaken, or energise your spirit, depending on your condition. Please stay a while, get your headphones, and perhaps even turn off the lights. Let us experiment together with how vibrations of sound can recalibrate the spirit.
 
The premise of my Audio Pharmacopeia is that music is medicine, not merely entertainment. We all suffer, it is the human condition. Music can help us heal. We all need emotional energy to be our best selves and live with generosity and defiant positivity in the face of life’s many burdens and challenges. It is my aesthetic philosophy that good music, deep lyrics, sophisticated beats, and alluring melodies can provide unsettled spirits with moments of enchantment in a world that too often seems disenchanted. Indeed, sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves is to take time to listen deeply to music, to listen with the seriousness of children at play. For even in dark times, life can begin to sparkle once more, with the help of music. I live in trust that melodies can dissolve our maladies.  

I, Mortimer’s Method, am a self-appointed medicine man who composes and produces music to help myself deal with the modern maladies that befall we humans of late capitalism. I’ve discovered that music can heal me in ways that cannot be achieved in any other way. If my medicinal offerings can also help others productively digest these troubled times, then all the better. Thus my new focus as an activist is on treating the human condition through the aesthetic interventions of music, to better prepare us for what lies ahead. When our spirits are in order, the rest will be easy enough. Music can plant seeds of revolution through existential rejuvenation, if only we let it.
