Brilliant, emotional and edgy. Love the quality of the recording, and the ghostly treatment. This is like early Arab Strap but with more understated vocals. Really enjoyed this.

The coolest thing about this is the fading in and out of sounds.  The music is there and then its almost not, perfect music for the lyrics, helps the song along and you get into the mood of it.  The type of song on first listen that you know its good and will relisten.

Here's a demo of "Private, I" from the upcoming album "Honne and Tatemae". This is only a demo of the song. I hope to re-record it again soon. I just wanted to get some new music up on the page.

I understand that the words are probably quite indecipherable to people and i also have a bad habit of mumbling. So here are the lyrics:

ค่อยสังเกตตัวเองไป มันรู้สึกงมงาย ใช้เหตุใช้ผลให้เยอะขึ้น 
เอาปัญญามาช่วย ปัญญาในการพิจารณา 
โยนิโสมนสิการพิจารณาด้วยเหตุด้วยผล
ศรัทธางมงายใช้ไม่ได้ ก็เอาโยนิโสมนสิการ 
เอาตัวปัญญามากระหนาบศรัทธางมงายให้มันลดลง 
 บางทีเดินปัญญามากใจมันเซลฟ์จัด นั่นก็รู้นี่ก็รู้ 
เซลฟ์จัดขึ้นมา ก็ต้องอาศัยศรัทธามาช่วย 
เพราะพระพุทธเจ้าไม่สอนเราให้กิเลสหนาอย่างนี้ 
ภาวนาแล้วต้องลดละกิเลส ไม่ใช่ภาวนาแล้วกูแน่ กูหนึ่ง กูเก่ง 
เจริญปัญญามาก โลกนี้ว่างเปล่าอะไรก็ว่างเปล่า ปัญญามันล้ำไปทั้งสิ้น

อาศัยองค์ธรรม 5 ตัวนี้ค่อยๆ พัฒนาขึ้น 
ตัวไหนมากไปก็ไม่ใช่ไปลดมันลง แต่ไปเพิ่มตัวอื่นขึ้นมาให้สมดุล 
อย่างมีความเพียรมากมาย รู้สึกความเพียรล้ำไป 
แล้วจะไปลดความเพียรลงอย่างนี้ไม่ใช่ 
ขยันภาวนาพิจารณาโน้นนี้ 
เจริญปัญญามาก มีความเพียรมาก มันล้ำสมาธิไปเราดูออก 
ตอนนี้ภาวนาขยันมากไปแล้ว จนดูมันฟุ้งซ่านไปหมดเลย 
เราก็กลับมาทำความสงบ ให้มันสมดุลกัน 
พอสงบใจสบายมีความสุข เริ่มขี้เกียจเจริญปัญญาแล้ว 
ไม่อยากเจริญปัญญา วิริยะย่อหย่อนลง 
กระตุ้นตัวเองขยันดูหน่อย อย่าเอาแต่สงบนิ่งเฉยโง่ๆ อยู่อย่างนั้น
ใช้ความสังเกตเอา อะไรมากไปอะไรน้อยไป 
ตัวไหนที่มันมากมันก็ดีอยู่แล้ว 
เราก็เพิ่มตัวที่น้อยๆ ขึ้นมาให้สมดุลกัน 
มีสติเป็นตัวสอดส่องตัวเอง 
ตอนนี้ศรัทธาล้ำหน้าไปแล้ว ตอนนี้วิริยะมากไปแล้วทำให้ฟุ้งซ่าน 
ตอนนี้สมาธิมากไปแล้วติดในความสุขความสงบ 
ตอนนี้เจริญปัญญาเยอะเกินไปแล้วจนฟุ้งซ่าน 
ปัญญาเจริญมากก็ฟุ้งซ่าน แล้วบางทีก็ทำให้เซลฟ์จัด 
นึกว่ากูรู้ไปหมดทุกสิ่งทุกอย่าง 
ไม่เชื่อใครทั้งสิ้นเชื่อแต่ตัวเอง ขาดศรัทธาแล้ว 
สังเกตตัวเองไปเรื่อยๆ แค่ไหนพอดี 
พัฒนาเป็นลำดับๆ ไป อดทนใช้ความสังเกตเอา
