In July last year we let loose our first excursion on vinyl, and from then on in it's been a crazy year. We're 3 EPs in now and we feel each one has been a huge step towards defining what has become the Tribal Pulse sound. We'll be doing more of the same in 2014, and we've got some recordings lined up that we feel are truly beautiful and unique.

However, we've been racking our brains to come up with an idea that'll shake things up a bit. With that in mind, we're proud to present "Tribal Pulse FOUR". Every fourth release from us will be a little bit different. These releases will be digital-only compilations where we'll introduce new artists into the family and expand a little genre-wise, releasing music that we love, but that wouldn't usually feature on the label.

We're delighted to be able to add 2 new artists to our family with the beginning of this new series. First up we welcome Glasgow-based ambient composer Fragile X. Here he records guitar parts to cassette, before stretching and cutting the tape many times over along with an array of effects to create "Sonder", a surreal soundscape that's brimming with colour.

Next up we have label stalwarts Boom Merchant and Acidulant. Boom Merchant brings the thumping rhythms of "Collage" to a crescendo of dense advancing basslines, funk-driven acid and gentle melodic sweeps.

Meanwhile, Acidulant's "x33345" carries listeners off into a melee of smart percussion work, intricate smears of 303 and sounds from outer space.

Last but not least we welcome Greek veteran producer Corvum. He recorded the first episode of our podcast series, and here he debuts on the label with 'Apoptygma', a dark mechanical techno monster. We loved the energy of this track, with it's dark throbs of distorted bass.

We hope you enjoy the experience of listening to these tracks as much as we've enjoyed discovering them.

The world of @yasdamusic is a curious place. The Hungarian producer has a knack for making peculiar structures and sounds feel familiar through the use of organic elements and found sound. This unique and unusual outlook on composing makes for perplexing rhythms, frayed textures and playful timbres that stumble around like musical dice. Everything feels impulsive. Always in motion. Never sitting still. "Spektrum" is controlled chaos with an eccentric heart.

Bricolage are proud to present the third release in a trilogy of albums from Manchester virtuoso, Dark Fidelity Hi Fi.

"Machine Blossoms" is the latest addition to what has now become an annual event. Over the last two summers Rick Jones, the man behind the music, has released critically acclaimed and expansive electronic albums. The first "Gentle Static Flow", in 2018, was a lesson in meticulous sampling and sound design with an old school 90's IDM/trip hop approach to track structure with a focus on the melodic and glitchier side of ambient. The 2019 follow up "Found" was an enigmatic voyage recorded over a four month period of hyper creativity. Floating percussion, organic elements and illuminating synth work helped this album flesh out like a story as it sprawled out to its conclusion.

Here, on "Machine Blossoms" the ante is upped again as one of the hardest working and creative producers around continues his musical evolution. There's a lingering warm and vintage analogue feeling that flows through the album. A welcoming feeling if you will. The hypnotic pads and splintering percussion of DFHF carry the tracks as always but this time there's another layer of depth hidden underneath the scattered glitches and cracks as ethereal textures, strings and brass breathe new life into that signature DFHF sound. Elements of jazz, trip hop and IDM are all perceptible but become transparent as they blend into one another to provide an immersive and rewarding listen.

ไม่ต้องไปดับมัน ไม่ต้องหาวิธีต่อสู้กับมัน 
อย่างที่ได้กลิ่นดอกไม้หอม แล้วไปตัดดอกไม้ทิ้งอย่างนี้ 
อันนั้นไม่ได้พ้นตัณหาหรอก 
ทำตามแต่ทำตามในเชิง negative ในเชิงปฏิเสธ 
เรามีสติรู้ลงไปเท่านั้น 
ใจมันอยาก ก็รู้ๆ ความอยากจะดับอัตโนมัติ 
ขั้นต้นฝึกไปอย่างนี้ สู้มันด้วยสติ 
ต่อไปสู้ด้วยปัญญา จะเห็นลึกซึ้งลงไป 
ตรงนั้นต้องเห็นปฏิจจสมุปบาทในขั้นละเอียดลงไปอีก 
พวกเราตอนนี้ยังไม่เห็น ถ้าเห็นละเอียดลงไป เราจะรู้เลยตัณหาเกิดจากอะไร

การรู้ทุกข์นั้นสำคัญ แต่ขั้นแรกนี่รู้ใช้สติรู้ตัณหาไปก่อน 
แล้วต่อไปมันจะค่อยๆ รู้ลึกซึ้งไปถึงต้นเหตุ 
ต้นเหตุที่ให้เกิดตัณหาคือตัวอวิชชา 
การไม่รู้ความจริงในกายในใจของเรา 
แล้วขุดค้นลงไปถึงจิตถึงใจ เกิดปัญญาอย่างถ่องแท้ขึ้นมา 
ปัญญาขั้นสูงตรงนี้ เขาเรียกว่าวิชชา 
รู้แจ้งแทงตลอดในกองทุกข์ รู้ในอริยสัจ 4 
เรียกว่าวิชชาเกิด อวิชชาตาย ถูกทำลายไป ตัณหาจะไม่เกิดอีก

ปฏิบัติถูกแล้วจะให้เกิดมรรคเกิดผล ก็ยากอีก 
เพราะฉะนั้นอย่าไปปล่อยตัวให้ตกต่ำลงไป ๆ ไปเป็นสัตว์เป็นอะไร 
ลำบาก เวียนอยู่ในอบายนาน 
ครูบาอาจารย์ท่านก็เคยเล่า นี้หลวงพ่อไม่ได้ฟังเองหรอก 
ท่านสิ้นไปก่อนหลวงพ่อจะเกิดเสียอีก 
ท่านบอกท่านเคยเกิดเป็นหมาตั้ง 500 ชาติ ซ้ำๆๆ อยู่อย่างนั้น 
กว่าจะค่อยกระเถิบๆ ขึ้นมา แต่เวลาลง ลงเร็ว
