Hi - love Your music - it fits my music-receptors in my brain so lovely! This sound is mighty!

I made a song a little while back, after being deeply touched by the tragedy of a neighbour struck low by a terrible, gnawing dementia.  A lovely, lovely man – not a close friend, but someone I counted as a friend, nonetheless.  A very incisive, perceptive, clever man, a gentleman; a retired aeronautical engineer, he had worked around the world, he loved people, all people, and conversation with them.  A great raconteur, he talked with a mischievous twinkle in his eye, and he lived for life, and his family.

He was crushed and transformed slowly and cruelly into something else by his condition.  Now his torment, whatever it may have been to him, is mercifully over; may his God bless him and may his wife and family find peace in the memory of the wonderful man he once, and always was.

By way of a bookend to the earlier song, I made this poem for my friend.

Tuesday Afternoon

Will the sun break through the clouds at last, on Tuesday afternoon?
Will diminished chords of adagio life staccato out a tune?
Will the gristle of my paranoia chew itself in disarray,
Or spit me out to hell’s side plate, by palliative kitchen hands scraped away?
Will the spiral pyres of my self-grief smoulder infinite through time,
The carbon, ashen remnant of what used to be my mind?
Just as walnut husks twixt the old sow’s molars, mastication can’t impugn,
Will the sun break through the clouds at last, on Tuesday afternoon?

Will the rain subsume the sun once more, upon the Wednesday morn?
When the blackbird skitters drenching down to greet the wormy dawn.
Whilst a spider tacks his silken bracts midst diamond dew, like neurons’ misfired arcing
To anaesthetise fragmented facts, underpinning thoughts embarking
Upon a train, within my brain, before ‘twas washed to smoky blue.
Like the walls of the old kipper house in the hometown once I knew.
This memory, thrice compressed and neatly threshed as corn from stalk is rudely hewn.

The biblical account of creation (Gen. 1:27 EU) says: "And God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; and he created them male and female." Adam and Eve first live in the Garden of Eden. There Eve is persuaded by the serpent to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, despite God's prohibition. This serpent is often referred to the devil in the Christian tradition; this equation is already found in the New Testament in Rev 12:9 EU. The common image of the apple as the forbidden fruit of paradise is not based on a translation error in the Latin Bible, the Vulgate, but on the fact that in the Latin language the word malus can mean "apple tree", but also "bad, evil", just as malum can mean "apple" or "the evil, the bad, the evil". This resulted in an obvious play on words, especially since the Vulgate translated the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil" from the original Hebrew text as lignum scientiae boni et mali. The rejection of God's commandments expressed in eating the forbidden fruit is considered disobedience to God in both the Jewish and Christian religions. Christianity speaks of the Fall.

As a result of the rebellion, the Bible describes Adam and Eve realizing their nakedness, whereupon they make themselves an apron of fig leaves. They try to hide from God. For the first time, something is present in the Garden of Eden that was not known before: the violation of the sense of shame. God confronts them, whereupon Adam blames Eve and Eve blames the serpent. Both are expelled from the Garden of Eden, but God makes them fur clothing as protection. Eve must henceforth bear children in pain, and Adam is given the hard and laborious task of farming. The classic words from Gen 3:19 EU: "For dust thou art, and unto dust thou shalt return" express, according to Christian interpretation, that death has now entered the world, since humans have remained mortal. Enmity will prevail between Eve, the serpent and their respective descendants.

In the biblical narrative, after the expulsion from Paradise, Adam begets Cain, Abel and Set with Eve. Genesis 5:4 also mentions other unnamed daughters and sons that Adam fathered after the birth of Set. Adam's total age is given as 930 years.

A long, long time ago, there was an organ in the Christmas-decorated living room in his parents' house, where Frank grew up. Originally bought by his father for his two older siblings, they showed no interest in playing the organ. Frank, however, did. White and black keys and giving off strange sounds. 

So at the age of 9 he began to let his fingers circle on this instrument, searching for the right keys like on a typewriter. And another 9 years would pass before he could buy his first own instrument. Already at the age of 13 he made notes about the then current synthesizers, bought one magazine after the other and visited music fairs in Frankfurt, Germany.

His first keyboard was the Yamaha DSR-2000, which he bought in a music store near his hometown Biebertal. In installments! Finally he could develop himself further - away from the limited tonality of the small organ. The built-in 8-track sequencer helped him to reach unimagined heights. 
Little by little his equipment expanded and his ambition to create music like that of Jean-Michel Jarres came closer. Influenced by this and countless other musicians of the time, his interest grew, but he taught himself everything. Not even having attended a music school or being able to read music at all, he wrote one song after another and recorded them on the only medium available to him at the time: audio cassettes.
Many of these recordings are unfortunately lost forever, because cassettes are and were not the best recording medium. He has to try to play many of his songs from memory. 

In 2007, he fulfilled a long-awaited wish: to buy a KORG. He had always wanted to own one, but with the latest synthesizers at the time of their release having a purchase price of over 6000 D-marks (the currency of the time in the 1980s and 1990s), that dream of owning one was far away. So in 2007 he bought a used KORG 01W/FD at ebay. And as before with the purchase of the Yamaha keyboard, a completely new world opened up to him.

In addition, there were expanders and sound modules from Kawai, Roland and Yamaha (K1m, SC-55, QY10). Six years later his enthusiasm for making music ebbed and rediscovered his hobby (which it always was and still is). In 2018 in April he decided to present his music to a wider audience and uploaded his first song on the platform soundcloud. Since that time, thanks also to the ever-evolving software, he continues to evolve, experiment and relive his times through music.
