Since my current living situation has severely limited my ability to record (especially vocals) and since I hardly see the point in releasing a single or an EP for an 8 track debut album, I feel that now is as good a time as any to release a demo song. This track represents the overall tone of the album pretty well although there is some variance...don't expect the level of consistency one might find on an album by an artist like She Past Away or Lebanon Hanover...that's not to say that there isn't continuity on the album; the sound just isn't as uniform track-by-track as a fan of the genre might expect.

With that being said, here's the track...I hope you enjoy it!

FrozenInMonochrome was a project that began as a one-man coldwave-inspired musical endeavor, created following the release of several songs (as Sialuk) alongside Kevin Shames (Basavriuk/Lake Milk/Dead Souls), and included further collaborative efforts with Kevin Shames, Les Modules Etranges, Kelly Sinclair, Thalie Nemesis, and leftfordead. The project evolved throughout the six year period of its existence as an experimental mess that was as much fueled by depression as it was self-indulgence and, oftentimes, even actual earnest expression. Also, emo rap and, like, a black metal song. Or whatever. Anyway...the project was retired in the first days of 2020 as a farewell to a musical identity that was born out of a situation with which I no longer feel any connection or familiarity. 

While some of the songs will remain the same, staying in the past, some have been transformed and will follow along wherever I take them. Regardless, all of these tracks will continue to be important to me and I hope you get something out of listening to them.

I now release music as Norman Certainty.
