Seducing listeners with her intoxicating Dancehall Style, Chatta wields her versatile voice as a weapon against negative thoughts and words, inviting all who hear her to shed that which is intended to destroy, and embrace the true value and gift of life.

A musician since the age of fourteen, Chatta released her first EP Album, “Speed of Consciousness,” in 2004. It went to number one on Roots I Radio in Kingston, Jamaica. Since then, she has been the recipient of numerous awards, including Top Dancehall Female Artist at the Canadian Reggae Achievement Awards in 2008.

A performer at the Toronto International Reggae Awards; the Annual Jamaica Independence Day Celebration; and The University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica, among other venues, Chatta never fails to energize and uplift her audience. Her goal, above all, is to use her unique gift of lyrical and staccato vocals combined with provocative and percussive rhythms to inspire others to awake to their surroundings, burn down negative thoughts, and arise to greatness.

SAMMUS is a Philly/Providence-based rap artist and producer. Her production is characterized by her use of uniquely chopped samples, and video game-like synths that are often contrasted with dirtier bass lines. She has been called a “20-credit” rapper because of her smart lyrics, diverse subject matter and versatile flow. As her Metroid-inspired name reflects, it is her hope that listeners and future fans will be pleasantly surprised by the contrast between the person society says she should be as an artist and who she actually is.
