Paris Green is Mitchel Kelly and Thijs Bastiaans, an Amsterdam based duo who have already made big waves with their first critically acclaimed single ‘You Got To Try’ made famous in the underground by Rebellion / Crosstown Rebels and consistent BBC Radio1 support. Now they lend their sound to one of our mainstays, Hot Since 82. The boys deliver an electrifying remix of Hot Since 82’s 2012 breakout hit ‘Like You’. Paris Green manage to keep the tracks spirit alive after all these years, giving the percussion a jazzy touch and pumping up the bassline before an acid bath. The bubbly result gives enough power to steam the dancefloor into a fury, no matter when or where. Of course the original is on board as well. It’s huge bassline and itchy percussion is still bringing the heat after half a decade, ‘Like You’ has aged very well.

Its Khen up next, the talented producer and DJ from Tel Aviv, who featured on the labels recent Sudbeats compilation, and fans of his work include Guy J and Nick Warren, and of course Mr Cattaneo.
Sense Of Time is a deep hypnotic little number, that gets under your skin, with its subtle warm melodic changes and wicked fx that add a trippy layer to this excellent track.
On remix duties we pop over to Madrid to see Luis Junior who runs for his own Mooseekaa label and has released on Bedrock and microCastle to name a few.
Luis remix adds some punch, but keeping the cool vibes and depth from the original, making the remix a spacious nice alternative mix.

Originally released on my first album "Electric Ballroom" in 1998 (now deleted, re-release is planned) this track became quite famous for sampling "Kaw Liga" by "The Residents" (no - it's not M.J's Billie Jean) and Madonna (which hardly anyone ever noticed, btw). There was also a vinyl bootleg that is extremely rare this days...

Do you believe in conincidences?

I don’t - anymore. I used to believe in conincidences but I’ve learned that everything happens for a reason. And that everything in life happens for you, not to you.

So, I have been busying myself with the idea of an remix album of classic tracks of mine for quite some time. But I struggled with the selection of tracks and which remix artist to pair with which track.  Until certain people entered my life. Some of them I only „met“ through their music on social media and never in person, others I met briefly, like in a car to a festival and some I started to hang out with and they became real life friends. All of these people connect with my music and I feel drawn to their music and in many ways we insprire each other.  As a natural result this remix EP took shape and I am excited to present it to you. The record contains four remixes of tracks from my back catalogue that cover a period of 20 (!) years, from my early days on Bush in the mid 90s to my first label Spiel-Zeug Schallplatten in the 00`s up until now, where I run Electric Ballroom from Berlin. Following on the heels of last year's "Circuit EP", which got support from the likes of Scuba, Matthew Dear and 2000 And One, Andre Crom starts into 2017 with "Short Circuit", another offering of stripped back and highly functional dj-tools.

The title track's energetic drums are inspired by it's predecessor, but "Short Circuit" ditches "Circuit"'s vocal in favor of a mental industrial percussion-lead.

"Impedance" takes things towards a more stripped back and minimalistic route, the "randomly" syncopated drum patterns giving the track an ever-evolving feel.

Tallmen 785, a new member of the OFF-family and known from releases on Hotflush, Fiedel and his own "Tallmen Records", delivers a trippy and hypnotic underground remix.

Back again with another deadly package, its the mighty Sudbeat, and taking firm controls once again are label boss Hernan Cattaneo and studio partner Soundexile.
