Saeleen Bouvar, awarded with the Kaleidoskop Art Prize 2024, stands as the visionary behind the groundbreaking TRANSTRONICA Festival, now entering its fourth consecutive year as the world's first and only electronic music festival featuring a purely trans lineup. Renowned for her sets saturated with queerness, Bouvar crafts narratives brimming with passion and sensuality, igniting dance floors and evoking a palpable intensity that leaves bodies glistening with sweat.

Since its inception in May 2017, Bouvar has served as the Salonnière of Salon Queertronique, infusing Hamburg's club scene with vital TransVisibility behind the decks. Drawing from over three decades of queer club culture, her sets are a testament to her profound understanding of the genre. With a philosophy rooted in "Recreate-Restore-Reform," she resurrects the sonic essence of historic gay discos and later queer clubs, seamlessly blending them with contemporary elements to forge a wholly new experience. Bouvar's signature sound exudes a refined, feminine elegance, effortlessly traversing realms from disco and Chicago house to acid house, electroclash, and techno.

Her expertise in queer club culture is matched only by the electrifying performances she's delivered at prestigious events across europe. Bouvar has graced stages at Fusion Festival 2019, Vogelball 2022, Kinky Sundays, the Queer Bcademy, Hirscheneck in Basel, her own Salon Queertronique, and left an indelible mark with her unforgettable appearances at the TRANSTRONICA festival.

As both founder and curator, Saeleen Bouvar continues to push boundaries and challenge norms within the electronic music landscape. With TRANSTRONICA, she not only celebrates Trans* artists but also fosters an inclusive space where music and identity converge to create moments of pure liberation and ecstasy.

As a collective we want to offer a platform that both works within a gap in Hamburg's nightlife and aims at filling it by creating a room and a stage for FLINTA* performers, DJs and artists in order to support them and increase their visibility in the overall perception of culture.
