your music is gradually getting more and more intriguing. To me there are really only two kinds of composers -- those who have something to say abut the human condition and those (probably the majority) who don't whatever their technical level might be at. I think you come into the first group and this is certainly an expressive piece with in places some very interesting harmony. I do have a question about the structure. Do you consciously plan at all where the piece is going? At times I'm not sure if I get a feeling of development, although arguably in something of this length, that's not entirely necessary.

Piano quintet

In the summer of 2024, I did something I had wanted to do for a long time but never managed successfully.  I connected my electronic keyboard to the computer and started to compose.  I suspected I might be quite good at making some orchestral music, which I’d never tried before.

This is very different from the songs i wrote for my guitar many years ago (some of which you can hear at https://soundcloud.com/guy-shahar/sets/shark-early-recordings-raw ) - and I'm looking forward to developing my style as I go on composing.

Track 6 - String Quintet No.3 (September 2024)

A shorter and more fun track this time - an unusual arrangement of Happy Birthday for Sitar, Strings and Woodwind - seems to use some sort of unusual scale (no idea what it is) that makes it sound really nice and interesting, especially when the woodwinds come in later.

Track 3 - String Quintet No.1 (The Amnon Shahar Quartet) (August 2024)

My first attempt at writing for human voices, having just bought some choral samples.  I've reformulated this 1964 song with new harmonies for 7 choral voices.

Track 11 - If I Fell (Beatles) (December 2024) - Transformed and Reharmonised for 7 choral voices

I think this is the simplest, most pared down piece I've done to date, and also by far my favourite.  I always think that when I've just completed something, but there's something different about this - it seems to have tapped into something deeper than the others.  Hope you enjoy it too!
