Lazy afternoon

revenge is a primitive vile trait that is also unfortunately prevalent and powerful.It causes senselessbrutal violence, that in the end solves no problems and creates a recurring cycle of more violence. The notion to avenge ones ancestors I suppose has to do with a sense of guilt if you "do nothing" but I think you can forgive for the sake of creating a peaceful future for your children without forgetting the qualities of the ancestors or acknowledging their worth.

Chained and helpless, Raewyn closed her eyes, focusing on the ancient teachings of her people. The rain in the forest, the rustle of leaves and the songs of the birds all came flooding back, calming her mind and steeling her spirit.

Her voice was firm as she invoked the Ancient Ones: "May the Guardians of the Threshold watch over me, and the Light of the Silver Tree guide me through the darkness."

As she spoke, a faint, silvery glow began to emanate from her very being, a light that seemed to grow in intensity as she drew on the power of her Elven heritage.

Tresur Heldros flung the door open, his eyes narrowing and a flicker of unease dancing across his face. "You are strong, I'll give you that," he sneered. "But you are still chained, still trapped. And in the end, you will be mine."

Raewyn smiled, a cold, mirthless smile. "We shall see, monster," she whispered, her eyes flashing with defiance. "We shall see...."

Hello….. It’s snowing now. I recorded this song in a snowstorm the other day… inside of course. I was working on a folk song. Fingerpicking and traditional lyrics, and as what sometimes happens, I really wasn’t really feeling it. So I cranked things up a bit and here we go. I’ll be 70 years old in a few months, which seems like some sort of milestone. (Better than a tombstone) I started listening to music as a young teenager in the 60’s, when my friend Joe turned me on to a lot of great music, most notably, the Woodstock Album. He’s dead now. I never played an instrument or sung until the late 80’s when plucked my first guitar in Germany. Within the last 15 years, I have been learning about and playing music. (Now’s my chance.) Ha. This song began with Chris composing it with his synth, guitar, drum pad and bass. Like many of his songs, it was pretty well formed before the rest of the group got a hold of it. This song was part of a load of songs he shared with the rest of Eclectic Collective all at once. We've been picking them off one by one, though, as we're always grateful to Chris for sharing his magic with us.
  The odd sound of the rhythmic melody, which uses chromatic walks, immediately caught Josh's ears. It struck him as something the Doors might have come up with. So, he set about replacing Chris' simple bass line with something fancier, as well as coming up with the lead guitar for the whole thing, and the lyrics and vocals, as well. Josh was really taken with this one, and heard all kinds of parts in it almost immediately. Ken went to bat next, adding his innovative, John Densmore-like drums to it, replacing Chris' initial rhythmic idea. JJ came next and added the essential piano you hear throughout. After that, Mark found a place for his amazing bassoon/harpsicord solo in the middle. But before it was all over, Chris also added some doubled vocals, too, to actualize the lyrics, which are about two friends taking an acid trip together. 
  After it was all laid down, we asked Tez to mix it for us, which he did in his expert fashion, as always.
  This is our latest song composed by Chris, and we love working on his music. If you dig this, you should pay his page a visit, too, as it's full of diamonds. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Songster version was a little ‘copla’ about not being able to be with, nor without, a loved person.  As usual, I’ve ‘upgraded’ it, process from which you only get the final result, normally. 

But, following lyrics’ contradictions, I not only serve parts with different levels of (dis)order in heavy rock - flamenco sauce, but raw vs very cooked parts as well, starting with the improvised phone recording of the very first idea I had to develop the song, so please excuse my failures and noises.
