They are born with so much Love and so much happiness and Innocence and then we , the Adults teach them how to be Adults ...what if it went the other way...what if they taught us about being a Child again, Remember Happiness, Love and peace. I know its only a Song but wouldn't it be great to be an Adult and to actually believe in these things once again. This is a love song written about Josh's favorite band, Phish. He came up with the chords on his acoustic guitar, and shared it with the group. This was written with Beck in mind, though, too, as he knew she'd be contributing her magic to this one, too. Even when it was just the acoustic guitar set to a looper beat, she came up with many of the parts you hear throughout. Although, she also readjusted and redid a lot of it, too, throughout the process. Ken was the next piece of the puzzle to jump in. He laid down his perfect drums beats to it in only one or two tries, giving it the groove it needed. After Ken laid down the beat, that allowed Josh to add his bass to the mix, too. It was almost done musically, but it needed a lead guitar, which Josh also put in there. Before it was finished, though, JJ weighed in with his clever organ, which can be heard from about 2:30 on. When it was all wrapped up musically, Josh also sang his lyrics, which are written from the perspective of two Phish heads conversing about the imminent Phish show, which is always a big, exciting event. 
  Josh has seen almost 70 Phish shows in his life, and he hopes his adoration for the band is evident in this song. This is the second song Eclectic Collective have done with Beck, and we all hope for many more, too. She's a fantastic musician, with a wonderfully deep well of creativity. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Well, I am showcasing bass, vocals and drums, alone.. I think it sounds exciting! .. also.. where we started.. not knowing beans from apple butter ( which, both, I love!😁) …        it was really hard for me, to learn Bonham to about 80% correct… maybe 🤔.. maybe 60?.. doesn’t matter…the fact that we pulled through.. now we have amazing players and friends…
    I thought it would be endearing to anyone who gives AF!! !! It’s pure, raw, and energetic..  and enjoyable! Not perfect…but absolutely lit, IMHO, yes! .. it’s where the Eclectic Collective was built from!!!🙌.. It’s my production on this… Josh on bass and vocals.. me on drums! Led Zeppelin is one of our favorite bands, ever… so we started with a @ deep cut… so not to annoy any purists! 🙌 If I remember.. sometime in

A small excerpt from a recent Expanded Cinema project by Dani Kirby ( Keyboards/Voice) and Mat ward (Bass), presented Live at MONA FOMA festival 2021 in Hobart, Tasmania.

The Smiling Madame Beudet
Germain Dulac, 1923

Kirby/Ward present the the latest chapter in their ongoing investigation both the history of sound in the era of silent cinema and the pioneering role female artists played (most often overlooked) in the avant garde. They have written and will perform a new score for voice, piano and bass to accompany Germain Dulac’s ground breaking 1923 film The Smiling Madame Beudet.
The Smiling Madame Beudet is credited as the first Feminist movie. The protagonist Madame Beudet is trapped in a suffocating marriage with her only escape being music and the fantasy that she lives in a different world. Her husband is domineering, boorish and frequently pretends to shoot himself (sometimes in front of guests) to taunt and belittle her. Far from portraying Madame Beudet as a victim it casts her as a heroine who, rather than submitting to a life of cruelty, seeks to assert her desires and free herself from the bonds of domestic misogyny.
Dulac uses groundbreaking cinematic artistry to embellish and add detail to both the narrative and the investigation of sexism and gendered roles through techniques such as super-imposition, ultra contrasting of focus, slow-motion, repetition of shots, abstraction and extreme camera angles. These techniques powerfully enforce the Dulac’s desire to show both the oppressiveness of the situation and the absolute need for an imagining of a better life.
The compositional approach focuses on highlighting the sub-text and philosophical underpinnings of the film with emphasis on the meta-narrative behind the protoganist’s story - which is a timeless critique of marriage, gender and sexism. Cinematically this is expressed through Dulac’s focus on Madame Beduet’s internal world as she moves between the disparity of escapism and reality. It is her complex voice and thoughts, as a metaphor for the broader issues of the film that Kirby/Ward bring to life through a dynamic score that incorporates multiple genres ranging from ultra minimalist melody all the way to deafening sub-bass drone.

Wow. What a place we have here. Yes we've been invaded by shitty AI music & tools which I am strongly against the use of at all until it's regulated and labelled properly but that said... SoundCloud is still Aaaaaamazing. We can weed out the messers and with a small web of genuine artists it is incredibly inspiring. Don't lose faith in your art because of the influx of fake, we need artists to shine through and continue saving and evolving artistic work and freedom. Just keep shining your real music. I have seen NOTHING yet that challenges a real artists creativity from AI or it's prompters. If anything it just confirms the path I took was worth it and is the only way to the full therapeutical effect music and writing can deliver your being!

You just need to PRACTICE a lot!

All these creations are made by hard work and years upon years upon years of practice and trying to explain this world and the human condition to myself in the process through poems & songs.
