Najnowsza kameralna płyta Rafała Łuca z utworami Cezarego Duchnowskiego. Album zawiera 5 kompozycji z okresu 2011-2019, które zostały nagrane i wydane po raz pierwszy. Akordeoniście towarzyszą znakomici muzycy: Joanna Freszel - sopran, Magdalena Bojanowicz-Koziak - wiolonczela, Miłosz Pękala - perkusja oraz partner Rafała z Duo van Vliet - altowiolista Ian Anderson.
Za warstwę elektroniki odpowiada sam kompozytor, który wraz z Ewą Guziołek-Tubelewicz współrealizował nagrania.

Cezary Duchnowski - Fere Vetus Canticum

“Aktynuria”  for two accordions, percussion, cello and computer(fragment of co-opera “Bajki robotów” (based on Stanisław Lem’s novel “Fables for Robots”)(2015-2016)

The project is based on three science fiction short stories by Stanisław Lem: “The Three Electroknights,” “Uranium Ears,” “How Erg the Self-Inducting Slew a Paleface”. The protagonists are robots living on the distant planets: Kryonia – frosty and sunless, but glittering with different colors of the Northern Lights, Aktynuria – made of the heaviest metals, its inhabitants were called Palatynids. Aktynuria was visited by the slick Homos Antropos, who shabbily deceived its residents, especially the innocent princess Elektrina. 
The term ‘co-opera’ comes from the word ‘cooperation’, which implies some sort of a collaboration and equality. First of all, the work was composed by two composers, who have been cooperating closely for over a decade. Secondly, as a result of a long-standing cooperation between composers and performers, there is a balance between the composed and the improvised parts. Thirdly, electro-acoustic and visual layers are interdependent. Moreover, the word co-opera also contains the question “co?” (“what?”) embodying the unknown, an enigma, an experiment. 
What is more, the co-opera involves a performance from a specially commissioned program: drawing on the story, whose protagonists are robots, we replaced traditional voice acting with speech synthesizer software. The co-opera also uses several unique props, including an office article turned into a musical instrument. The work is held together by software written by the composers.

Aktynuria (2015-2016)

Paweł Hendrich was born in 1979 in Wrocław (Poland). After studying engineering and economics at the Wrocław University of Economics he studied composition at the K. Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław (prof. Grażyna Pstrokońska Nawratil) and at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne (prof. York Höller). 

The works of Paweł Hendrich have been performed at concerts and festivals in Austria, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and United States of America.

The composer has received commissions from: Warsaw Autumn Festival (Ensemble Musikfabrik, Basel Sinfonietta), Deutschlandfunk (Kwartludium), Goethe-Institut, BHF BANK Stiftung and Ensemble Modern, The Municipality of Wrocław (NOSPR), Polish Institute in Madrid (PluralEnsemble), Institute of Music and Dance, Orkiestra Muzyki Nowej, Chain Ensemble, The Forbidden City Chamber Orchestra, National Forum of Music (Lutosławski Quartet, LutosAir Quintet, NFM Leopoldinum String Trio), ZAiKS Polish Authors' Association as well as from the Polish Composers' Union (Pablostrom, Orkest de Ereprijs).

For several years now, he has been programming, composing and performing live electroacoustic music. With Cezary Duchnowski and Sławomir Kupczak he founded the electroacoustic group Phonos ek Mechanes. So far, trio has performed at festivals of improvised, contemporary and electroacoustic music, and at concerts in Poland and abroad.

In 2010 DUX released Paweł Hendrich's monographic record Chamber Works and in 2017 second one called Metaforma. In 2012 Bôłt Records released Phonos ek Mechanes’ first CD called C+-. Furthermore his music is also released on over a dozen other CDs.
