Growing up in the deep south of Germany with multi ethnic friends and big interest in many different music genres of the world, Borrowed Identity built his wide knowledge in music. This variety in his musical taste is also the reason why he is working under different aliases producing a big variety of sound from ambient to house to experimental music and everything inbetween. Borrowed Identity debut EP on Quintessentials is another great example for his multistyle approach to music. You’ll find elements of house, disco, techno, ambient and more – always with an imminent love for music. Borrowed Identity released his first 12” inc. a Mark E remix on Foul&Sunk last year. That was just the start of an impressive career we dare to say. Borrowed Identity is a music freak and works very fast on tracks. Guy Gerber's Supplement Facts, Traveller Records (Finland), the Legendary Sound Research, Stripped & Chewed (Chicago), Catz N Dogz Pets Recordings and soon Mistress all released some splendid Borrowed Identity tunes. And we do the same!

"It all started in March 2016 when Attek and Guy Johnson met each other at their school in Utrecht (NL). They immediately started working together on some House projects, it was the beginning of a great friendship. When mentor and friend DJ Caspa sended over some oldskool vinyl which he recorded from his magical collection, things really took off. With deep characteristic pads, uplifting drums, soft chords and warm smootchy vocals, Attek and Guy Johnson went all out with this warm EP. STRCTR is proud to introduce another beautiful piece of art, mastered once again by the House legend DJ Steaw."
