Enigmatic FENNEC aka @fennecsound is responsible for one of our fave 2023 house releases – the Nice Work EP. 

And now we’re presenting a HOT guest mix in anticipation of NICE WORK 2. We’ve had it on repeat for a week now. It keeps us reaching for Shazam constantly.

A DJ and producer since 2014, Austin’s Fennec draws on influences like The Avalanches, DJ Koze, and Moodymann to craft chopped-up, loopy dance music with a smile. The mix here is an amalgamation of these influences & draws from the not-so-obvious pockets of 90’s house to create a joyful, energetic DJ journey. 

Mix also includes a preview of the forthcoming Nice Work 2: “One For Me” is the second to last song. Nice Work 2 will be out March 1st.

Born in the Motor City, bred in the deserts of New Mexico, and now residing in Northern California. Started DJing in late 1996, and began working on music in 1999.  

Cut my teeth as a DJ & Producer, primarily on 90's and early 00's prog (ala Hooj, Sasha & Digweed, GU, etc etc). I've put out some records, and some of those records were on mix cd's. I took a bunch of planes to play records in a bunch of states, and then in 2005 I walked away from it all for a few years. Eventually found my way back to DJing through house music, and the rest is history. 

These days, I primarily play/edit/write music in the House, Disco & Techno "triangle", and never have as much time as I'd like to work on things.
