There’s an old cliché in the music industry: “Stick to your lane. Don’t mix art with politics. Just entertain.”
But what happens when the lane itself is blocked — by corruption, censorship, and the theft of ideas too big to ignore?

The Storm Will Remember Us is not just an album. It is a testimony, a document of resistance. Each track is both a song and a witness statement — from the attempt to bury new physics equations, to the absurdity of sitting on unmeasurable intellectual wealth while being denied a basic loan, to the lived experience of whistleblowing in a system that punishes truth-tellers.

I’ve been told more than once that musicians should “stay out of politics.” That art should be harmless, apolitical, decorative. But the truth is simple: music has always been political. From Billie Holiday singing “Strange Fruit” to Bob Dylan plugging in his guitar, to Gil Scott-Heron reminding us that the revolution will not be televised — songs have always been frontline weapons in the battle over reality.

This album joins that tradition. It weaves protest, blues, dada collage, folk testimony, and storm-driven myth into a single narrative: one person’s fight against censorship, corporate theft, and the absurdity of an economic system incapable of recognizing emergent wealth.

You’ll hear anthems, ballads, lullabies, and storm songs. You’ll hear anger and exhaustion, satire and sincerity, fury and fragility. It is not meant to be polite. It is not meant to stay in one lane.

Because when institutions silence science, when corporations erase whistleblowers, when banks measure worth in decimals while ignoring the fire of discovery, there is no lane left. There is only the open road — and the storm that remembers.

So here it is. My songs, my testimony, my politics, my math, my truth.
Play it loud. Share it freely. And if someone tells you to stay in your lane — ask them whose lane it is, and who’s afraid of what happens when the music changes direction.

The Autobiography of Tyler Anderson Gale

Neutrals are a punk band from the San Francisco Bay Area, channeling a wide range of '70s and '80s punk, post-punk, and indie-pop influences. Their debut album "Kebab Disco" came out in 2019 on Emotional Response Records and garnered universal acclaim as "an excellent collection of terse melodies, unique storytelling, and scraping pop. (AllMusic)". The band followed-up with an excellent five song EP earlier this year on Domestic Departure.

"Personal Computing" b/w "In The Future" is their new single and has the distinction of being the final entry in our SLR30 Singles Series. Both sides were recorded just before the COVID-19 lockdown began and share a bittersweet nostalgia for an imagined rose-tinted future that never was. The mood of thwarted utopian dreams feels all too appropriate right now and the tense, angular songs on this single are an ideal soundtrack for this unsettled moment.

Bipolar is the twisted creation of Pouya and Obash, formed in a Brooklyn pisshouse while on a bender in the not too distant past. The duo moved to the USA from “conservative” Tehran, Iran as a cog in a wheel of a true underground scene in pursuit of their passion for cross dressing musical performance based on their love of the circus and all things theatrical. Think SCREAMERS finger-banging THE DICKIES while THE SPITS egg them on - Pouya has already done time on keys with The Spits.
 
And look at these sick bastards now… Hopefully one day soon you’ll get to see them in the third dimension.
 
With the addition of Kayla from NYC garage-punk party people THE OTHERMEN on synth, and some other man named Ethan on drums, BIPOLAR mightily spew forth their debut 7incher with timely titles “Depression” and “Virus” among the melee. Glasgow’s Baby Strange take a steadfast, creative, all-encompassing approach to music as an artform and have carved out an almost cult like status for themselves within the underground UK music scene. Latest single ‘More! More! More!’ is as anthemic as it is raw. It sees vocalist and guitarist Johnny Madden reflecting upon time spent listening through “paper thin walls” to house parties fuelled by class A’s and terrible music. “It’s essentially a commentary on a generation that’s stuck in its ways & doesn’t want to grow up,” he says, and continues "It’s 1997 forever and they’re not leaving any time soon. Usually I wouldn’t care but my neighbours are keeping me up at night with their terrible music and self centered chat, so I’ve written a song about it. If you see this Alex, this ones for you."

Its driving, bass heavy guitars and four to the floor drums are encased in a melody that will see heads nodding in the mainstream & pits started in the underground. The track is out now via Swedish independent label Icons Creating Evil Art, in a new union that celebrates a shared vision & resolute, creative determination.

Fronted by the magnetic & alluring Johnny Madden and rounded out by brothers Connaire & Aidan McCann, Baby Strange are about to set out their stall and re-establish themselves as one of the most innovative and uncompromising outfits in the UK.  Since the release of their critically acclaimed 2016 debut album ‘Want It Need It’, Baby Strange have toured tirelessly, building an enthusiastic and dedicated live audience, selling out venues across the UK & sharing stages with the likes of Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes, Slaves, Jamie T & Wavves.

Far from being just satisfied with focusing on their own journey, Baby Strange took a step further to solidifying themselves within the heart of the music community by launching their own club night ‘Club Sabbath’ back in 2015 at The Priory in Glasgow & The Old Blue Last in London. Since its inception, Club Sabbath has played an active role in building a thriving music community, providing a platform for the likes of Wolf Alice, Fontaines D.C, DMA’s, The Chats, Gang Of Four, The Magic Gang, Nick Allbrook (POND) and Marsicans. Bands such as The Dunts, The Spyres, Dead Pony, Rascalton & Pleasure Heads all cite Baby Strange & Club Sabbath as a direct influence on their musical journeys.

After the releasing their debut LP in June, TMOK are back with a felicitous offering, Bail Me Out. Rustic acoustics are laced through an electro-apocalyptic landscape, reflecting a desire to escape the turmoil and flow like a river. With echoes of our current situation, it was first inspired by the jarring sight of motorway bridges across the beautiful River Avon. Bail Me Out streams 27.11.20.
