Our next artist is an amazing artist from south of France, Like the Inuit people, he composes music to tell his environment, from his perspective: a landscape, a wind, an animal. he gradually shapes a personal style, mixing organic rhythms and atmospheric textures, between poetry and intensity. His work has been featured on hadal-resonance, @oslated and is the co-founder of @melifera_records. His most recent EP on his label included fantastic remixes by @eyvind-blix and @forestonstasys. For this mix he curates a skillfully blended array of deep techno, eclectic downtempo and blissful electronica. Apart from being a terrific music maker and DJ himself, Dan is also the mind behind And Not Or ~ an event series focusing on ambient and experimental music usually opening with a restorative class of drone-soundtracked yoga ~ at one the choicest Bristolian institution Strange Brew. On these occasions he invites some of the most exciting local artists to present their live performances and impeccably curated DJ sets to the audience cozily resting on rugs and fluffy piles of pillows. It is no surprise we got to know Dan in the midst of some of the finest local music events and that is where our friendship blossomed from 💌

The journey you are about to listen to is a a grainy snapshot from a breezy autumnal afternoon spent walking across vast expanses of those gentler landscapes of Dan's record collection that he regularly channels in his beautiful Early Doors radio shows on Noods Radio 💆🏼‍♀️

Distant landscapes.

In the vast cosmos, a solitary traveller surrendered to the hypnotic allure of deep Techno. Immersed in pulsating rhythms, his mind transcended into abstract realms. A luminous labyrinth materialized—a web of pathways bathed in vibrant hues, where time dissolved into the eternal flow of bassline echoes. Journeying deeper, he encountered a surreal garden where Techno melodies bloomed as flowers and swayed as trees, forming a harmonious tapestry of colours and sounds. Ascending to a mountain peak, he became enveloped in ethereal clouds that whispered ancient secrets while the bassline resonated with the universe's heartbeat. He witnessed a grand spectacle at its zenith—a tapestry of energies intertwining, creating a celestial dance of light and sound. Descending to an ocean of rhythm, he found himself weightless, embraced by waves of sonic energy. His essence fused with the pulsations, dissolving the boundaries between self and cosmos. As the Techno faded, he returned to the physical realm, forever expanded by those abstract landscapes. His consciousness carried their imprint, seeking the hidden recesses of his mind, forever dancing to the hypnotic rhythm of life.

~ About The Story ~

The sacred presence of Brahman, or the Supreme Divine Reality, is there in God, what is called Ishvara or the cosmic lord. Yet it is also present in the soul or reincarnating entity, what is called the Jiva as our higher Self. And, it is present in the world of nature, Jagat. God, soul and the world are aspects of One Reality, but not in a limited way. Each shares the entirety of the underlying Reality. Each is sacred and holds the same deeper nature of Being, Consciousness and Bliss (Sat-chit-ananda). This vision of unity is the basis for an ecological approach in which we can honour the entire universe as part of our own higher Self. Drawing from the European techno influences, and combining them with the Mediterranean tradition, she curates mixes which blend energy with emotion. She has been a resident for Alibi Works and co-founder of Bureau Noir event labels in San Francisco. She is currently working on creating her own deep and minimal sound.
