Calgary based jazz guitarist and trumpeter, David Lavoie, has been hot on the local jazz scene playing shows multiple nights a week and honing the sound of his jazz compositions. "If I Were Me" features New Jersey jazz great Pat Van Dyke on the drums and the soaring trumpet melodies from Lavoie. With a degree in jazz composition from North Vancouver University, Lavoie is just stretching his legs and getting started with his jazz tunes.
