We can barely contain ourselves as we finally reveal this truly very special chapter of our Podcast Series to you today, conjured up by none other than our very dear friend and the mastermind visionary behind our visual identity, Marco Maldarella 🌸

Marco is a multimedia artist and sound-maker living and working in Bologna. When we were just starting to develop Introspective Electronics, it made sense to reach out to him and see if we could together materialise the vision we had for this new platform. Little did we know that Marco’s contribution would be so symbiotic with the music and become such a fundamental part of who we are now. And we are so grateful it turned out this way 💛 

Apart from his work with visual media, Marco is a DJ and one half of the experimental electronic duo MARMO with Christian Duka. We were lucky to be able to release a powerful podcast by the pair last year which has since been remodeled into an LP soon out via the London-based Utter. Look out for this one!

This mesmerising one hour journey seems to take its roots in the haze of days long past, a fragile trembling presence slowly emerging from the soils to meet the sun and mankind. Then ~ in patient harmony its stems and branches grow through time and finally take shape as indigenous music with diverse brushstrokes of modernity weaved in. A seamless flow of emotions rushing from and through and into is the anchor of this mystery-soaked pilgrimage ✨ 🌚🌝✨

MARMO, a collaborative project between Christian Duka and Marco Maldarella, was born out of friendship and shared passion for music-making. Starting off respectively as the electric guitarist and singer in a metal band nearly a decade ago, the pair have worked their way through various flavours of electronic music inhabiting someplace between ambient and dance music.
