Christian Samsara는 덴마크 태생의 DJ이자 레코드 컬렉터이다. 일렉트로닉 음악에 대한 그의 여정은 어린나이에 시작되었고, 큰 열정을 품은 앰비언트 장르의 디제이가 되었으며 오랫동안 고향 덴마크를 비롯한 전 세계의 수많은 축제와 이벤트에서 공연해왔다.
자연과 고립된 장소에서 영감을 받은 그의 믹스는 깊은 영화적 사운드 스케이프와 유기적인 텍스처 레이어가 돋보이는 앰비언트/다운 템포/IDM 음악으로 이루어진다.
그는 2015년부터 Ultimae Records에 합류했으며, 다가오는 컴필레이션 발매를 위한 작품을 선정하고 있다.

Christian Samsara is a Danish-born DJ and record collector.
His journey into electronic music began back in his early teenagehood and after a few years, he discovered the electronic ambient genre which grew into his big passion and later on, lead him behind the decks.
Since the beginning of his DJ carreer, he performed at a great number of festivals and events accross the world and of course in his homeland, Denmark.
Inspired by the nature and isolated places, his mixes are often a selection of ambient / downtempo / IDM music with deep cinematic soundscapes and layers of organic textures.
He joins Ultimae Records in 2015 and is currently selecting works for an upcoming compilation release.

ARTIST'S BIO:
Inhmost is one of the monikers of S.Huxtable who wanted a representation for the more ambient and downtempo works that he creates which would allow the freedom of expression within these genres, deep space atmospheres and otherworldly soundscapes are the order of the day.

Situated in the South West of England the local area provides the backdrop for inspiration with the coast and countryside allowing an escape into the wild for moments of reflection.
Inhmost has solo album releases with Stasis Recordings, RE:ST, La Luna, Huinali, Captured Visions, Short Trips and Tonights Dream Records as well as collaborating with ASC on projects for Auxiliary. (Words by Human Lessons)

The new episode of our podcast series comes from @lowgravitysound: Technology and imperfection, raw and processed, so many concepts that lie at the core of Futurepast identity.

Low Gravity trained his mixing and production skills in the London underground scene, before he brought his sound to Rome where he co-founded @radiocircolo and Collettivo Sonico. As an enthusiast of electroacoustics and experimental music, he deploys his knowledge to sculpt the sound, and fuse elements from ambient textures, experimental and hypnotic rhythms.

The mix itself features tracks from essential pioneers Éliane Radigue and Suzanne Ciani, Brian Eno, revered sound designers and composers like Tetsu Inoue, Alva Noto, Pete Namlook or Robert Rich, and new coming talents like LF58, Grand River, and of course Low Gravity himself, with an unreleased track.

We can barely contain ourselves as we finally reveal this truly very special chapter of our Podcast Series to you today, conjured up by none other than our very dear friend and the mastermind visionary behind our visual identity, Marco Maldarella 🌸

Marco is a multimedia artist and sound-maker living and working in Bologna. When we were just starting to develop Introspective Electronics, it made sense to reach out to him and see if we could together materialise the vision we had for this new platform. Little did we know that Marco’s contribution would be so symbiotic with the music and become such a fundamental part of who we are now. And we are so grateful it turned out this way 💛 

Apart from his work with visual media, Marco is a DJ and one half of the experimental electronic duo MARMO with Christian Duka. We were lucky to be able to release a powerful podcast by the pair last year which has since been remodeled into an LP soon out via the London-based Utter. Look out for this one!

This mesmerising one hour journey seems to take its roots in the haze of days long past, a fragile trembling presence slowly emerging from the soils to meet the sun and mankind. Then ~ in patient harmony its stems and branches grow through time and finally take shape as indigenous music with diverse brushstrokes of modernity weaved in. A seamless flow of emotions rushing from and through and into is the anchor of this mystery-soaked pilgrimage ✨ 🌚🌝✨

A long time coming, this new chapter in our Podcast Series comes from our dear friend and one of our favourite live artists, dan nicholls. We’d have a hard time counting exactly how many times we’ve seen them concoct their colourful sonic potions, effortlessly merging multi-layered depth with soft playfulness, oscillating between meditative horizontal sounds, spoken word and field recordings and high energy bass infected half & double time dance workouts. To witness an artist in pursuit of their genuine expression succeed in building a world of their own while being versatile and open is a beautiful thing to behold and we feel so lucky to be able to share this little peek into Dan’s workshop, in the form a live set recording from Brussels’ Brasserie Atlas ✨

dan nicholls is a producer and multi-instrumentalist exploring sounds at the crossroads of ambient, electronica, jazz and free improvisation. Over the years, Dan has moved on from a career in jazz, via electronic music, to a heartfelt embrace of rave culture and the feminist and queer theories which are all strongly present in the current iteration of their solo projects and collaborations. With a powerful grasp on world building with, through and beyond sound, they co-curate the London-based Free Movements - a multi-sensory event series hosting genre fluid experimental music performances crossing both acoustic and electronic realms 🔮

In the true spirit of their highly collaborative workflow ~ always in the process of making with and through people and other-than-human critters, culture & politics ~ this improvised recording features voices of tyroneisaacstewart, Lauren Kinsella, Juju Love, Moor Mother, Gillie Nicholls, Janet Blake and Palestinian activist whose words contribute in different ways to amplifying of marginalised ideas. And it seems that for every word, there is a sound to match, a little something that carries its weight, gives it a warm embrace and lets it slip in our ears with tenderness and gravity to be remembered through feeling. There’s only one way to know and that’s to press play and listen 🐚

Kosmic Skaut graces us with a truly stunning mix recorded with tender loving care for the 52nd chapter of our Podcast Series. The Prague via Brno based artist has been a kindred musical soul and a friend for a long time and we’re so happy to finally welcome him to our cozy lil family circle 🤍

Mikuláš aka Kosmic Skaut goes slow and steady behind the decks, interlocking psychedelic, acid-tinged and hypnotic sounds in his DJ sets spanning multitudes of ambient and dance music genres. For Mikuláš, music is all about collectivity and togetherness ~ a takeout from his early years as a boy scout. He materialises this spirit in projects including organising festival Michalský Výpad in Olomouc, co-running the notorious ÉTER collective in Brno and regurlarly putting on his Kosmic Care events at Ankali’s Planeta Za which he always ~ as an aspiring chef and baker ~ supplies with tasty homemade snacks. Once you try his pizzenka (the cute way to say pizza in Czech) and this delicious mix, there’s no coming back 🍕

In this chapter of our Podcast Series, we plunge head first into the deep end of ambient psychedelia as we take off on this phenomenal voyage through Kosmic Skaut’s wild and wonderful imagination. As we move through the mix, so it moves with us, allowing for softness to emerge in waves of amorphous drones melting into one another, layered with textures, field recordings and electro-acoustic instrumentation in the build up to the rhythmical crescendo that sees it conlcude 🌬️

We are so happy to kick our Podcast Series back into gear with a long anticipated recording from the UK-based duo Plantera called 'Cosmozoa' ~ based on theories of intergalactic spores transferring life to other planets 🌱

I met Lewis and Mason last year at the intimate Sonic Rites gathering, nestled in the wilds of the beautiful Welsh countryside. Smitten by their soothing afternoon set, I knew I needed to approach them and ask if they’d be keen to record a mix for the series ~ and they said yes 💍

So here it is, a magical musical offering born out of synergy between two close friends sharing deep understanding of and passion for music that touches the soul and soothes the mind. And what better time to dial
in this hour and a half journey than after the long weekend of Bank holiday frolics. Sit back, close your eyes and let it take you on a comic ride through soft edged ambient and downtempo psychedelia 💫

The guys also shared a little message for us too to accompany the mix: “Join us on this journey of cosmozoa; ejected into the ether from unknown coordinates, floating aimlessly through primordial dust until being grasped into the orbit of Plantera - gliding through the atmospheric haze before breaking out into blissful serenity, absorbing the sights and sounds of this unfamiliar world while sailing on it's winds"

We could not imagine a more fitting Podcast Series contribution to soundtrack the peak of our of summer than this lush dubby mix recorded by the New York via Chicago DJ & productress Eden Aurelius 🦋

Back in April last year, the inaugural record on the Glaswegian label co:clear lands in the crates at Phonica Records and it steals the show. It was the debut release by Eden Aurelius titled ‘Plateau’ with it’s soft-edged downtempo take on dub techno dancing through clouds of ambient textures and perfectly embodying that netherworld in between ambient and dance music that is the beating heart of Introspective Electronics. Over a year later, we are so grateful and proud to have Eden feature on our Podcast Series with this stunning hour-long recording 💕

Nothing else to do now but to plunge into the dubwise depths of this magick mix where tender energy ebbs and flows in the spaces between not-quite-ambient and not-quite dance. It’s in the liminal space of the soft cracks in between. Aren’t you curious to hear? ✨

Lou is the host of one of our favourite ambient shows @transience-archive which airs monthly on Berlin’s Cashmere Radio to provide listener with a much needed relief from anxiety and together with marum they host sonic-seances under the name @infinity-rug 🫧

Lou believes in the transformative potential of sound and the importance of deep listening. Whether that is listening to each other, our needs or to the sounds around us. In their sets they often explore the sonic landscapes of the in-between, where the listeners perspective dictates the experience, yet holds them in a warm embrace to invite a deep dialogue with the listening body-mind.

like many of us, my heart has been red with grief-rage witnessing the ever-escalating genocide in Gaza. this mix starts with an invocation for the liberation of the Palestinian people, a struggle that omits none of us if we wish to be truly free. 

the slowly evolving sound journey takes us through several realms and phases of introspection, ghosts of the past lingering in melodies they never heard. sonic energies condensing and expanding, offering spaciousness for contemplation and being with whatever arises.

meandering through earthly realms, through the riparian zone, swamps, and forests we meet with mournful spirits in her gut, casting our attention on the multiplicities of loss we are facing. yet in the shade there are angels, who remind us that we have been doing this for many, many lifetimes. ‘keep on’ they seem to whisper. 

eventually we arrive to the sunset inside, where the Grand River’s winds meet the horizon, guiding our gaze upward toward the night sky where the mysteries of the celestial bodies radiate, Lyra’s visions casting an empowerment spell for all those who listen. 

may we each grow ever surer of our paths, finding creative and yet unimaginable ways to continue our collective struggle for the liberation of all sentient entities, until we are all free.

- Qual a vibe que você preparou para o podcast?
Quis fugir do óbvio "relax" e resolvi arriscar uma linha de percussão hipnótica e também quebrada, uma linha de bass marcada,
 com diversos elementos ácidos que estimulam a sensibilidade, dando uma sensação de "cócegas" nos ouvidos, causando uma euforiazinha boa (dica: ouça com fones de ouvido).

- Qual a melhor panca que você já teve (e se lembra rs)?
Acho que as primeiras pancas são as melhores, lembro um pouco da sensação, não saberia explicar <3

- Qual a larica mais louca que você já fez?
Pior que não me lembro kkkkk

O programa foi feito em formato back-to-back, onde os dois se aventuraram juntos transitando por um mar de grooves dançantes e intensos, melodias leves e agressivas, batidas retas e quebradas.

O resultado é uma amálgama coerente de sons, que não deixa a peteca cair nem por um minuto.

hello hello hellooo today we bring you an icon from Rio de Janeiro's rave scene, the one and only Ananda. this bb does it all: throws amazingly energetic, inclusive, queer raves; makes her own music AND is an incred DJ too. also, she is the sweetest. we recently hung out in Rio when i was there to play her KODE party where i had the best time and met incredible people - this girl is surrounded by a mega inspiring community of ravers and artists who are so talented and so witty and so funny i seriously lost it. i had to get her on this family so here it is, an incred new naivetape by Ananda, chock full of acid bangers, fast electro, rave euphoria and off-kilter moments. honestly listening to it made me miss her so much - and made me wish i was in rio right now, listening to her play at one of her vibey, sweaty raves. an icon from one of my favourite places in the universe. Brazil is a spiritual gold mine.

Fernanda Rizzo é produtora e multiartista lésbica que está a frente de diversos movimentos de luta cultural em Porto Alegre. Conhecida como Fritzzo, vem construindo sua identidade e concretizando sua carreira na música eletrônica underground desde 2017. É uma das fundadoras do Coletivo Plano, grupo de artistas que questiona a utilização e a preservação do espaço público, bem como a sua segurança, por meio de festas realizadas em espaços públicos e privados. Atualmente também é dj residente da Pane.

Flutuando ativamente entre o electro, break e house music, é assídua de beats quebrados e estéticas sonoras enérgicas que empolgam e provocam a pista à dançar. Dentro dessa construção sonora, trabalha acordes menores e ambientações pesadas com techno e acid, criando uma atmosfera pra contar sua história.

A forma como se destacou e se consolidou em tão pouco tempo com sua origem eclética permitiu que tenha passado por grandes festas de PoA como Base, Doma Club, NEUE, Vorlat, Fennda, Cerne, Arruaça, Disc-O-Nexo, entre outras cidades do RS, Festival Meca em Maquiné, B Club em Carazinho, e estados como Santa Catarina na Bateu, Lapso, Tangerina Soundsystem e São Paulo na SILVER/tape, Versa, CALDO e Bicuda.
