Félix Blume is a sound artist and sound engineer. 
His work is focused on listening, it invites us to live sonic experiences that enable a different perception of the surrounding. He uses sound as a basic material in sound pieces, videos, actions and installations. His process is often collaborative, working with communities, using public space as the context within which he explores and presents his works. He is interested in myths and their contemporary interpretation, in human dialogues both with inhabited natural and urban contexts, in what voices can tell beyond words.

Voila 35 ans que, depuis Arles, Phonurgia Nova défend la création sonore, édite les classiques de la radio d'art (Welles, Schaeffer, Thibaudeau,  Paranthoën, Farabet, Mortley), publie des ouvrages de pédagogie et forme de jeunes auteurs désireux de s’engager dans une relation créative avec le sonore. C’est dans la suite logique de cette démarche que s’est ouvert en 2007 le Département d’Art Sonore et la "Chambre d'écoute" du musée Réattu d’Arles. Leur ambition est de   faire reconnaître l'audio-graphie (et toutes les formes qui dérivent de l'enregistrement), comme un art, à l’égal de la sculpture ou la peinture. 
Avec obstination, Phonurgia Nova s'efforce d’offrir aux créateurs et professionnels du son des espaces à leur écoute et à leur (dé)mesure.
Chaque année des Prix Phonurgia Nova récompensent des créateurs qui explorent l'écoute comme moyen d'activer l'imaginaire.
Les productions finalistes sont départagées par un jury international délibérant en présence du public, selon un processus maintenant bien rodé.  Pendant des journées denses, il s'agit d'écouter,  de comparer, de discuter, puis d'élire des lauréats ! La prime va à l’éloquence sonore. On en trouve des exemples ici-même ainsi que sur www.sonosphere.org
Toujours dans une logique de transmission, nous basculons par étapes notre sonothèque sur la plateforme Soundcloud. Une démarche qui s’inscrit dans un projet plus vaste portant sur la numérisation progressive et la mise à disposition du public et des chercheurs de la totalité de nos archives audio et audio-visuelles.
