The black-and-white layered variety of chalcedony has acquired a somewhat sinister reputation. In fact, onyx symbolism is replete with connections to bad luck. In Arabic, black onyx is known as "el jaza", which means "sadness."
On the other hand in ancient Indian and Persian tales Onyx is referred to as a protector from evil. The Indian gemologists describe onyx as a protector for harmonious relationships. The stones' close union and yet strong contrast between the layers of black and white are considered symbolising for the love between two people.

Yesterday Is Never Gone

So this is the last instalment in the Mayday series. After many travels and learnings,  our astronaut hero grows tired of  roaming space in search of something new.... He longs for  peace and  love and to settle down into a quiet uneventful life .... and so he once again procures another ship and heads for home,  where the grass is green and the skies are blue. This is the last journey he will make... While his exploratory  journey is coming to an end,  he returns home a wiser man....  Just like our  space hero... this girl decided to  finally come home from the wanderings into the unknown...  Enjoy :)

Hello Folks, 

Welcome to my humble page! A little about me: Mid 30s  business lady by day, music obsessed creative fiend by night. I do mean OBSESSED….Music lives in my head and can not stop coming out of it! I grew up listening  to  all kinds of music so my  creations have been influenced by live instruments and orchestral melodies marrying the  beat and rhythm of dance music.  Piano - trained and a hobby vocalist of sorts , music is  how I deal with the world.  As of 2024 , embarking on a  journey to learning the guzheng and cello. Some paint some build, some write… This girl tells stories with her music.  Take a pause and listen. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy setting  them loose into the world !
