Audric is the consummate musician, a musician's musician, and the top guitar expert in Philadelphia.  So I was again thrilled when he joins me here on our original, It's Not What It Seems.  With a handoff of the framework, Audric went to work - completely inspired - and turned it into this.   Not only the guitar, but additional keys, percussion, structure and ideas.   There's a lot to listen to here - from the spectacular initial guitar work to the harmonic structure and lines.

Hi, I’m Krissie 💜 I have high functioning autism, which I proudly call a gift, though sometimes it drags me into beautifully bonkers territory. I played saxophone for over ten years (seriously, I could wail).. until I got ill and my arms went on strike. But music? It stuck around. So now I do what I can, I write, engineer, and produce my own songs, shaping them with whatever magic I’ve got left, plus a few emotional plot twists. I mostly post them here on SoundCloud because, let’s be real, this place is easier to manage than the rest of the digital circus.

Since joining, I’ve met some incredible, like minded humans, some aliens too I'm pretty sure. If you want to be friends, yay! All my life, I’ve had to hide who and what I am. I’ve never been what the world calls “normal.” As I say in 'I Don’t Write Songs "I Survive"', my brain just isn’t wired the way it should be. I’ve been called weird, not right in the head, bonkers, even crazy. So I learned to mask, to shrink, to pretend. But here.. here, I get to breathe. To be.

And it’s not just the music. It’s the comments, the replies, the strange and sparkling conversations where I finally feel like I don’t have to filter myself. I can be full volume, full chaos, full heart, and somehow, that’s not just accepted, it’s welcomed.

You beautiful humans (and possibly aliens) have given me something I never thought I’d find, a place to be fully myself. To speak how I feel, to show what I see, and to turn it all into sound and words without shame. The way you’ve welcomed me, supported me, seen me, there are no words. (Yes, I know. Me. The Queen of Words. Speechless. Don’t get used to it.)

My heart is so full of love and gratitude, I’m honestly surprised it hasn’t burst into glitter. Thank you. All of you. From the very bottom of my shoelaces 🖤🎶🧦

Originally from Chicago, where I developed a strong appreciation for the blues and classical, and moved to New York, where jazz and the fine arts are so deep.  Key musical influences include Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Zawinul and Weather Report, Chick Corea and Return to Forever, John McLaughlin and the Mahivishnu Orchestra, Stanley Clarke, Scott Henderson and Tribal Tech, Jeff Beck and Jan Hammer, Mike Stern, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Emily Remler, McCoy Tyner, Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Jimmy Smith, Joey DeFrancesco, Larry Young, Buddy Guy, Santana and Earth Wind & Fire. My creative journey began as a visual artist, and now I'm concentrating my energy into creating music that can instantly impact minds and moods for the better. 

Almost all of my music is chill @ -100 bpm to hopefully stimulate calm and feelings of well-being in listeners as it does for me. 💙

I don’t use AI or samples. My music is original, digital, and composed using a MIDI keyboard and DAW. I also record live LoFi audio of ambient sounds such as birdsongs or rainstorms using an iPhone or a microphone connected to laptop.
