where the dark earth bends (2022, rev. 2023), for RAGE Thormbones, orchestra, and electronics

Dominic Frontiere's "Mother's Loop" from the 1963 Outer Limits episode "Nightmare," recreated using a variety of sample libraries in FL Studio. The instrumentation here is two harps, electric guitar, triangle, vibraphone, flute, accordion, electric violin and the mysterious Onafets.

Captured live at the Klangspuren festival in Innsbruck, this work by Clara Iannotta offers the ensemble a verity of musical shifts between fragile gestures and sound fractures while the guitar is there to contribute a continuous colour, providing depth, dimension, ground and sky. Absolutely one of my favourite guitar parts in 2020. The ensemble playing is Klangforum Wien, conducted by Johannes Kalitzke.
