Milana Zilnik's beautiful song, with some improvisation over it by myself.
The piano Milana is playing is the Una Corda, which if you don't have access to one or the means to get the hardware, a software version can be played in Native Instruments Kontact. I have had Komplete for years. I originally bought it to use B4 and Pro 53 (both discontinued) and FM7 (replaced now with FM8). I never checked out the Una Corda, until recently I heard recordings of it here on soundcloud and fell in love with its intimate, emotive sound. Now I want to write songs and record with it!

The fretless bass has been redone. On this recording, an Ernie Ball/Music Man fretless Bongo bass was played, plugged into a Tech 21 RPM bass preamp. To my ears, the Bongo fretless bass and the RPM preamp combination is a far more sonorous tone than I was able to achieve with the instrument and equipment that I used up to last year.

The lead guitar is a PRS 305 through a Stomp Under Foot '73 Ram's Head V10 distortion and a Skreddy Dynamic Mids Enhancer, into a Hiwatt DR103 amp.
There is ambient guitar added, which was a Carvin DC127 going through a Morpheus Capo, a BOSS CE-20 chorus and a Strymon Timeline delay. The track was processed using Amplitube to add amp tone.
The drums are Superior Drummer 3, using the Rock Warehouse kit.
The organ is the Arturia B3V.

OK This is a long one, but is quite dynamic.  It starts with a self generating ambient sound from Arturia's Pigments 2.  It then goes into a chill kind of jam with Taurus Pedals providing the low bass drone, the Korg Kronos providing the the electric piano sound and I played the Novation Summit for the lead.  This lead was improvised in one take.  It then goes back to full ambient where it fades from the Pigments self generating patch into a different self generating patch on the Hydrasynth.  It then kicks it up a notch with a nice long synth solo on the Moog Subsequent 37.  It ends with the Hydrasynth fading back into the Pigments patch.

Huge credit goes to Red Means Recording whose tutorial for creating self generating patches inspired this tune.  The Hydrasynth patch is based on his tutorial.
