Edgy Future Discoteque Vol.4, the latest installment in our compilation series sees us pushing things forward whilst retaining an attention to curating 'classics' that can be heard spinning dizzily from the dancefloor as well as when travelling a retrofuturist portal illuminated by some intense artillery of hypnagogic strobes!

Kicking off the comp is disco trickster 'Black Hawks of Panama' with his own take on the disco/boogie/dad rock (delete as necessary) classic 'Turn You On' that really works a treat. Using a Moog to turn the moon
into a disco ball, a rapidly dazzling decoration to initiate all signals, to lubricate all grooves, to unleash and reinforce the power of all possible moods.

Hunterbräu injects a more industrial vibe into the mix with OBelisk. A rapturous entrapment of tranquilizing synths that glisten like being shellshocked by New Order whilst running Yello’s great race. Imagine being thrown into earth’s orbit from outer space with fields of flickering synth bleeps alongside a parade of spacey, wavey warfare alarms...yessmate!

S.N.U.S join the party with Work It Out, a jacked up house groove of cunningly repetitive, bonkers-but-never-boring arpeggiated patterns and projections of a cosmic conga which are fully focused on dedicating itself to locating the missing link between the feet and heaven’s holographic platforms.

T.J Lawton’s Erasure succeeds in summoning up the same possessing aura of Maurice’s This Is Acid whilst using the solar system as a soundboard for these kind of electronic adventures in stealthy, sticky rhythm and blinding, bleep fun. 

Manchester’s Joe Roche manages to converge Warp’s freaky, fractured ambient electronic acrobatics on 'Joy' with the intoxicating properties of an interstellar aphrodisiac. Samples and icy synths wrap themselves all around the senses, free to float and melt below the hot neon glide of a nighttime trip.

Closing off in true chilled vibes is Dolphin by Sun Sone. Part TalkTalk ambient atmospherics and part-inward reaching, lysergic high. Here, it carries on the immersive musical montages that offer something new every time. A chance to chillout. Respite in the welcome deline into a beanbag and waking up on a pixel beach.

Jakob Mäder has been travelling and he has "Seen Places" hence the title of his new 3 tracker on Frank Music. The Stuttgart native thrives with energy and encourages all of us with his "Get Up, Get Up" as a starter. Powerful beats, arp basses and some delightful chords will make you shine under the disco ball. Adding to his classy 3 course meal we have "Neverbeenthere" programming a subtle yet irresistible House groove that will make you move no matter what. Luscious melodies anyone? For dessert we offer something very sweet since Jakob is rounding up this wonderful piece of quality House Music with "Mountains". We climb up an imaginary hill with the help of airy pads, sparks of acid and late night dreaming in a smoky dance club. Heiligsblechle!

The past year was filled with nothing but hit after hit for Analytic Records! With an all-star crew of artists both old & new, the record label sure made their mark on the Dance Music scene. To kick off 2023 Audio Analysts (the brains behind the label) are back... and they’ve got not 1, but 3 incredible artists on board for remix duties.

“Lorraine (Original Mix)”
Setting the tone is the original mix of “Lorraine” which is a cross fusion of Deep House & Tech House containing all the right elements we love such as; that TB303, glitchy percs across the board, and even a pinch of soulful vocals. This is a real driver and is bound to lift the energy of any club at any given time. Bouncy, chuggy & clean are just a few words to describe this. Audio Analysts are going to be a household name this year.

“Lorraine (Funk D’Void Remix)”
We would like to give a very warm welcome to Funk D’Void as he provides his first ever Remix for us. To have this legend interpret our track “Lorraine” made us very happy going into the new year. Funk has played across the globe in places such as; Berlin, Mascow, Singapore, Sydney, Detroit, Toronto, Tokyo & many more... releasing on labels like; Bedrock, Cocoon, Lucidflow, Soma & Tronic to name a few. To put it lightly, the guy knows what he is doing! He has taken all of our original elements & managed to piece together a sonic masterpiece that although comes across as a Deep House tune initially, actually has a lot in common with a Techno track. The underlying synth for starters introduces & finishes the song by giving it a real gritty feel. The journey continues to expand whilst your mind keeps finding new additions to contemplate as the track progresses. Everything is where it should be here... and all sits very nicely with each other.

“Lorraine (Tony Lionni Remix)”
Following on we have House music maestro Tony Lionni’s Remix! You may remember back in June 22’ we had an incredible EP from him to mark our third release (AR003) well... he’s done it again. A pure classic from the very first loop this song has all the textures and elements you need to have the boys & girls in euphoria. The way in which Tony evolves his pads & chords throughout the arrangement is a testament to his years of perfect the craft. House music at it’s finest. 

“Lorraine (MINT JPN Remix)”
Last but by no means least we have another new addition to the Analytic Crew. MINT JPN, born in 1989 started making Electronic Music in 2012, has had tracks supported by heavyweights; Darius Syrrosian, Danny Tenaglia, Shiva San & Steve Lawler. We love his take on this single and think he has come up with a great modern style thumper that will be finding it’s way onto festivals soundssound-systems this party season. Hard hitting Tech House with a rolling bassline & drum groove that will be getting it’s fair share of hands in the air. This slammer has perfect build ups to raise your excitement through the roof.
