So.. with no way of converting a CD to our digital currency..I held my IPhone up to the last existing CD player and speakers.. in my wife’s office!…This is the absolute first rehearsal of this kick ass tune🕺🏼written by Chris Bennet.. a cherished friend and bandmate.. he passed in 2014🥵🙏 circa 2002.. my band had some interest from recording companies…we actually got to do a showcase @ The Viper Room., in LA., June, 2002.., brought out by the management from the band Tantric…🙌.. the lawyers didn’t know how to market us.. late twenties.  Early thirties.. too rock for country.. too country for Rock.. last show played in September 2003.. Chris Bennet is on  the left.. next to me!  Oh well.. all I wanted.. didn’t @ happen for me.. it’s okay.. I love being on the Cloud.. with all.. and anyone who wants to join! RIP.. Chris!💔🙌🙏 fantastic friend, guitarist, songwriter, singer.. he always encouraged me.. not just in what we did.. but also.. @ life! Yes! Recorded on a Radio Shack 4 channel mixer.. into my cassette Fostex 4 track recorder!!🙌🙌🙌🤩 check out our Eclectic Collective versions..it’s called Happy Ever After…the fellas did it so much justice! I did this about a year ago -- posting again because I reworked it a bit, and I just really like the tune. The 2nd & 3rd verses were inspired by a fellow SoundCloud member's life events.

Idris is a genetically modified human, engineered to navigate spaceships through "sub-space" - allowing ships to traverse enormous distances. As such, he's a tremendously valuable asset and vulnerable to kidnapping. There are other costs: the process of navigation means being aware of the presence of terrifying entities that seem to wallow in sub-space... Another track inspired by Adrian Tchaikovsky's "Shards of Earth" novel.

The dusky sounding guitar is my Gibson 335 - I love the warm but crisp bite of those humbuckers!
