The final chapter in the RATS: INFEST series adds a left-field twist. 

Mike Parker is one of the most important historical Techno artists for us and has recently released two halftime EPs for Donato Dozzy & Neels Spazio Disponibile label which have been some of our favourite releases by another label in the last few years. Once we heard these EPs, we were on the hunt for some Mike Parker music on Samurai. 

Mike Parker creates music live on an all-hardware setup and has done so since the mid-'90s. There is not really anyone that sounds like Mike and we're excited to have him on board at Samurai. Mike has recalibrated his machines and created an all-new halftime sound specifically for this remix of 'Mainliner' and his upcoming EP for Samurai. Slightly more quirky and less dense than his usual approach, the machine pulses wind around a steadfast step. An unexpected, but perfect mood shift to re-imagine the Mainliner sinisterism.

Baby T makes a welcome return to the label following on from her debut EP Portra. This time the versatility of the Baby T sound is on display with a 140 Breakbeat killer re-sculpture of 'The Spell'. Dealing out euphoric vibe peaks with 4/4 punctuations and Reese/break combinations, this one is a guaranteed peak-time dancefloor weapon. We love Baby T!

This mix of house music is in appreciation of the timeless artistry of Larry Heard (aliases: Mr. Fingers, Loosefingers, Trio Zero, ... ). Joyful music tinged with vulnerability, empathy and emotional depth... perhaps well suited to provide comfort as a plant uproots itself from tropical terrain and attempts to root again in unaccustomed earth that has both rocks and nourishing soil. Inspired by the kind words of a friend ~ a second room, a second chance. Really grateful I have an opportunity to stitch these tracks together for the one year anniversary of Murals.

I don't really have a very intentional track list for this mix, but i pulled from the following albums by Larry Heard and mixed them in the flow in one session:

The author of the Black Earth Remix, returns to our catalog with 8 tracks produced especially for this project and whose conceptual arrangement permeates the abundant use of the classic saturation of the telefunken m15 tape machine. Emulating what is most dynamic and chaotic in the streets, Martinelli jokes that if he had to define his work, it would be saying that Private Dealer is electro for vagabonds, tricksters and shameless people.

Dj and producer coming from top northern borders of the Czech Republic. Living in the forest where it's always raining. Transforming his life melancholy into sound-focusing mostly on deep music. Crossing boundaries between genres of techno, ambient, drone and halftime drum and bass.

Started with production in the early 2010s, highly influenced by the original sound of dubstep and uk garage. After a decade and a lot of singles and EP's released both digitally and physically across the platforms and labels worldwide. Comes the debut album Black Rainbow released on kletis's own imprint DOLEC. This album works as a compilation of various genres and different moods. Darkened half-tempos, steps, breakbeats, and even proper techno - packed with beautifully strange rhythmics and atmospheres.

Kletis is also a member of the Shotgun Festival crew, which organizes outdoor festival, warehouse and even club parties. As a Dj he focuses his selection on techno tools, melodic/hypno side of techno, industrial atmospheres and ambient tracks.
