Spring is here and we would love to share with you our atmospheric and dreamy 'Erlkönig' edit of the beautiful 'Love Test' by Lab's Cloud.

The stunningly beautiful original 'Love Test' track was first released 8 years ago by Lab's Cloud on his long awaited second album entitled "Imminent Awakening" released on Altar Records in 2014.

On this, our 'Erlkönig' edit we have woven Moon Aton's beautiful ethereal recite of the "Erlkönig" poem by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, through the track. It depicts the death of a child assailed by a supernatural being, the Erlkönig, a king of the fairies. It was originally written by Goethe as part of a 1782 Singspiel, Die Fischerin.

"Erlkönig" has been called Goethe's "most famous ballad". The poem has been set to music by several composers, most notably by Franz Schubert.

The track has always been a personal favourite of ours for many years since 2014 and we just adore the epic 9 minute journey through ambient and downtempo textures and melodies, at times it is haunting and bewitching and is truly one of the most stunning ambient tracks ever produced.

Raul Jordan is the artist behind the Lab’s Cloud project. Born in 1978 in Valencia (Spain). Raúl began producing Psychedelic Trance as PSYCHO ABSTRACT with many compilations and three albums. And after some years, in 2004, Raul started a new project focused in Ambient & Down Tempo music under the project's
name: Lab's Cloud.

With a string of releases already scheduled for 2024, it promises to be a bright future for Lenz.
 
Their weekly 'Night Whisper' podcast show seemed like the natural progression of what they have been doing and has been running since 2020, and thanks to the help of radio stations like Pure Ibiza Radio, Cafe Mambo Ibiza Radio, Ibiza Global Radio, Bloop Radio London, Beach Radio, Organic Deep House Radio, Boogie Bunker Radio (Tenerife), Estacion Ibiza Radio, Data Transmission Radio, Radio Zoom (Berlin), Graffiti Kings (London) and Like That Underground (Germany), it has developed brilliantly, and helped bring the Lenz sound to all corners of the world. 
 
Atmospheric, raw, and cinematic, Lenz is comfortable taking you on an exciting journey and making you sweat on the dance floor. Never afraid to go too deep, their emotional, dreamy melodies and poetic words will invigorate your mind and soothe your soul.

Having grown up on their individual eclectic combinations of European electronica and synth-infused 80s music … all which became infused with their own love for electronic music, Lenz have ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. 

Today, after working together closely these last four years, this translates into DJ sets and production releases where they pick apart and infuse together all the pieces of this music that they love best: beautiful synth work, lush backdrops, brooding basslines combined with Moon Aton’s haunting ethereal vocals… all on top of pronounced foot-shuffling house beats and chilled ambient tones. Together they create the very essence of their signature sound, an emotional and organic contrast of dark and bright, deep, cinematic, genre bending styles, rich in melody and emotion.
