LILAC ANGEL — named after the driving and minimalist track by 1970s German innovators NEU! — is a three-piece group making a cerebral blend of post-punk and noise rock in the American Southwest. In all facets LILAC ANGEL remain steadfastly independent and D.I.Y., from artwork and promotion to engineering, mixing, and mastering.

Formed in 2022, LILAC ANGEL quickly established themselves as a staple of the local independent scene. Their first official release, a live cover of The Cure's seminal 1980 track "A Forest", arrived in early 2023, followed by a set of three originals on the self-produced "EP". In December, the intertwined four songs of the "I TRY HUMAN" EP came to fruition, their most polished and fully-realized work to date.
