"Take The Black" is an epic cinematic symphonic folk metal song that has been inspired from fantasy role play games and medieval music. The pyromancer is back and brought his shady friends. Let's assemble, take the black and bring down a bloodthirsty tyrant! 
After writing "Pyromancer" in 2021, we wanted to create some epic battle music. Everything started with an arpeggio on my acoustic guitar, when I suddenly had the idea to try something with bagpipes. Jordan's comment about medieval villagers wielding forks and shields against a tyrant has been a great lyrical prompt, so we continued on that. The arrangement grew bigger, and bigger, and soon we had to summon the whole band.

Dear friends, the other day I saw a video from a bomb-ravaged city. A small dog walked among the ruins and seemed to be searching for something. Then I got inspiration for this song.
How can the warlords be allowed to continue their killing spree. They seem to be driven by greed, by hatred, or by a distorted religious view.

In the night between the buildings where the battle took place
the lonely dog was searching for his master who is just a little
boy, nine years old - they walked out together
when the bombs hit the streets of their dear hometown

Don`t Say It`s Over

The State of Israel was created almost 80 years ago in response to an attempted genocide. We are now watching a genocide of the Palestinian people in real time on our tv screens. This is happening with the collusion of democratic  governments. How did we descend to this?
This acoustic guitar improvisation is by 3 guitars based on '4+ 20'. I had intended to write a protest song about the war, but I cannot find the words. This is inadequate, we should all speak up to condemn this barbarity however small our voices are.
