This is an unreleased song for my band "Sidewalk". I wrote it about wanting to live a million different lives, knowing you can't, and feeling conflicted about what direction to go in. It's heavily inspired by the Sylvia Plath poem from "The Bell Jar". 
I recorded it with my friend and band-mate Tyler Donkoh-Halm, who played ukulele and mixed it.

Love remains is compiled of original songs written by Holly Bruce that highlight her profound personal discoveries made over the last couple decades. From heart break, grief, self discovery and recovery work, overcoming addiction and codapendency, deep spiritual discoveries and growth (practice), these personal insights and victories inspire celebration of the healing journey. These songs follow Holly’s process, which often is layered with complex emotions, themes and experiences. Choosing personal growth (the high road, road less traveled) and health over what’s most comfortable, ultimately prevails. This is a journey of finding voice (strength) and choosing love, even while facing adversity. Learning to choose love, or having a “kind response” to the pain and suffering of self and others, taking radical responsibility for self and cultivating a willingness to grow can take tremendous patience, energy and faith. While growth and discovery are a process, step by step, I have discovered it takes a village. You are not alone, if you don’t want to be. Hope this inspires courage.
