I'm Liz, and I'm in recovery from eating disorders, PTSD and various other joys, and I'm also the partner of an alcoholic in recovery. 
These podcasts are about both addiction and recovery, from both sides, and about all kinds of addictions, in a bid to open mutually understanding and supportive dialogue and share a lot of understanding about something which affects so many people - often in silence.

Ep 1 : so what's this all about?

Personal stories of addiction and recovery, hosted by writer and broadcaster Liz Fraser: partner of an alcoholic in recovery, and self-confessed high-functioning mess of assorted mental health issues and addictions. Guests include those who live with all manner of addictions from substances to behaviours, to those whose lives have been affected by someone else’s addictions, psychologists, psychiatrists and occasional passers-by who have something insightful to offer. No solutions are promised - sorry about that - just some fascinating human journeys shared, to encourage, inform and inspire. It might even be entertaining, which would be a bonus.
