How Long Is Too Long?

This song I wrote back in 2010 and it's about failed relationships. I don't remember much about the song, it wasn't personal or anything like that, I think Charlie said something about politicians only giving us "Pretty Words & Empty Promises" and I liked that title so later that week I wrote this song. I wanted it to be bittersweet sounding, I was trying to express in music what a broken heart may sound like if it could sing. Charlie really did a good job on this one. One of my prettiest melodies and saddest lyrics. The video follows the lyrics pretty closely and is fairly new, I think I finished it up in March of this year. This is the audio track from the video so you'll hear noises like a pop and such but you'll have to watch the video to see why! I hope everyone enjoys it! Here's the link:

It may be obvious that this piece has its roots in Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" Op. 27 No. 2.  My first iterations were much closer to the original but I have now wandered far afield.  Sincere thanks to you for listening.  I'm honored.

This a track that was functionally complete over a year ago but I forgot to finish it -  and with Sarah's vocals recorded officially 2.5 yonks ago it is a travesty I am delighted to put right. Just an ordinary knucklehead strumming my six-string and singing songs. All songs are original raw recordings of my songwriting journey of healing and finding peace. Being born and raised in San Diego means that many of my songs have an ocean theme. You can take the boy out of the beach but you will never take the beach out of the boy 🤙 Maybe one of these days, I'll actually learn how to record and mix better, but until then, I'm just having fun.
