DSS 048 is presented to you by @mod21. Manuele Chiaravalloti is an Italian born Swiss based producer/sound artist/DJ/label owner/photographer. After years of research he released his two debut records on Prologue. Labels as @semantica-records, @mentalmodern and his own imprint followed soon after. 

His visual art and music emerges from a rich imagination which flows into deep and dark sounds and images. For DSS Manuele made a composition full of these profound drone and ambient tracks, almost fully kickless.

How to levitate is the artistic project of Spanish musician Tasio Rey. Having played bass and guitar for a few years, the project started as an attempt to explore ambient music with an experimental approach, to then become a blend between techno, dub, and “space” music.

We’re very happy to present a fresh podcast by Einox. Having pushed his works via labels as Subosc Records, Circular Limited and Oslated, the Seoul-based producer spreads a singular sound with which he repeatedly confirms he knows his way around the studio.

For this particular occasion, he’s made efforts to record a set in which he coordinates us through some of his live arrangements. From the offset, a certain distribution of width and depth is felt in the mix that pulls you right through. Lopar is a Colombian DJ, based in the city of Manizales in the western central region of the country. After initiating his mixing studies at Medellin’s Academia Decibel back in 2016, he has since formulated his own unique sound that ranges from deep and pensive, to hypnotic and mentally intriguing. Lopar’s artistry sees him navigate through a myriad of subgenres to create a soundscape that is both ambient and tribal, allowing the listener to embark upon an explorative journey through the past and the future.

His distinctive tastes and great selections have elevated him to performances alongside globally renowned acts such as Anthony Linell & past EQUINOX guest Etapp Kyle - and now, we’re proud to showcase the latest contribution to EQUINOX Invites from him. Authentically deep, dubby sounds ebb and flow throughout, as Lopar demonstrates his pedigree within the deep techno scene.

Lopar’s enthralling mix is a fitting conclusion to the first of many series’ within EQUINOX Invites. Twelve mixes were showcased, each of them accompanied by meticulously prepared bespoke artwork to reflect the seasonality of our calendar year. Our next artist is DJ living in Vilnius, Lithuania. He first became fully immersed into a rave culture with progressive house, minimal, electro, techno eras  forming his musical taste.  Lately he has settled on downtempo electronic and techno music styles. His style typically blends darks ambient, dubby and psychedelic sounds. He finds techno music is more like a spiritual experience, a modern ritual.
