Affectionately known as the 'Liquid King', DJ BenSon is a living legend in the Jo'burg Drum & Bass scene. He brings a soulful and emotive side to Drum & Bass. His infectious smile and incredible crowd interaction, not to mention sick mixing skills, have made him one of the firm favorites among the top Drum & Bass DJs in Jo'burg for over 15 years. 

His first residency was in April 1997 at the then 206 in Jo'burg. Back in those days, as part of the Next Step Crew, he played at some of the top clubs in and around Jo'burg, including; Reality and 115 sharing the decks with; Ed Rush, Aphrodite and Raiden in those years.
 
BenSon was one of the founding members of the Reflex Crew - that brought the legendary Trancesky (Phuza) Thursday Drum & Bass nights in Mellville, Johannesburg.
 
Now he's Rocking Jo'burg as part of the Science Frikshun Crew and has played alongside the likes of; DJ Fresh, Camo & Krooked, Nymfo, Danny Wheeler, Drumsound - to name but a few.

Dubmatix is continually evolving his style, taking new influences on board on each new recording; by now it simply doesn’t do justice to the incredible breadth of his work to slap a ‘dub’ sticker on it.

This kaleidoscope of variety is particularly in force of his upcoming brand new album. As well as working as a musician and producer, Jesse King is also a sought-after remixer and app designer, with recent remixes including tracks for the Easy Star All-Stars, John Brown's Body, Zion Train, Martha & The Muffins, Don Letts and Mungo’s HiFi. 

For his new album he spent 2 years in the past and a lot of time in tweaking the knobs on high class Roots Tunes inna crossover style…!
